Ashley Iaconetti<\/strong><\/a> doesn\u2019t \u201cbuy\u201d Golden Bachelor<\/em><\/a> couple Gerry Turner<\/strong><\/a> and Theresa Nist<\/strong> blaming their divorce<\/a> on long distance.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think a lot of the Good Morning America<\/em> interview was BS because you don\u2019t say, \u2018We\u2019re still in love with each other,\u2019 and then get divorced. You just don\u2019t,\u201d Iaconetti, 36, said via her Instagram Stories on Friday, April 12. \u201cIf it\u2019s a distance thing \u2014 at their age especially \u2014 live in Indiana, live in New Jersey, visit each other once or twice a month \u2026 Be in love, be married but, like, you know, commute to each other. I don\u2019t buy [it]. I don\u2019t buy that the moving thing is the reason they got divorced three months in.\u201d<\/p>\n

Iaconetti then explained why she wasn\u2019t super surprised to learn about Turner, 72, and Nist, 70, ending their relationship following their wedding in January.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I came back from the Golden Wedding, my friend Naz [Perez]<\/strong> wanted me on the \u2018I Don\u2019t Get It\u2019 podcast to talk about it and I said, \u2018No, I can\u2019t because I didn\u2019t feel anything,\u2019\u201d she recalled after attending the season 1 couple\u2019s nuptials at La Quinta Resort and Club in Palm Springs, California.<\/p>\n

On April 12, Us Weekly<\/em> confirmed Turner filed to dissolve their marriage<\/a> in his hometown of Petersburg, Indiana, listing the same day as their date of separation. He cited the \u201cirretrievable breakdown\u201d of their marriage as the reason for the split.<\/p>\n

Several hours earlier, Turner and Nist appeared on Good Morning America<\/em> to confirm their breakup. The pair announced the news while holding hands and explained that their cross-country living situation led to the end of their relationship.<\/p>\n

\u201cTheresa and I have had a number of heart-to-heart conversations,\u201d Turner said on Friday\u2019s broadcast. \u201cWe\u2019ve looked closely at our living situations and we\u2019ve kind of come to the conclusion mutually that it\u2019s time for us to dissolve our marriage. \u201cThe things that strike me the most in our conversations it\u2019s been how dedicated both of us are to our families. So, we look at these situations and I think we just feel like it\u2019s best for the happiness of each of us to live apart.\u201d<\/p>\n
