When it comes to<\/span> Maroon 5<\/a> fans, it sounds like <\/span>Adam Levine<\/a>‘s kids are among their most knowledgeable.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n During an appearance on <\/span>SiriusXM\u2019s The Morning Mash Up<\/em><\/a>, the frontman reveals his youngsters are experts when it comes to the bands two-decade-spanning discography.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n “The cool thing about my kids is they’re obsessed with the band,” he says. Levine shares three children with <\/span>wife Behati Prinsloo<\/a>: daughters Dusty Rose, 7, and Gio Grace, 6, and his <\/span>1-year-old son<\/a>, whose name has not been shared.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n “It’s interesting to see because they know songs that I don’t even remember writing or singing,” Levine admits. The proud dad gave a special shout-out to his firstborn daughter, calling her a Maroon 5 “historian.”<\/span><\/p>\n Quips the musician, “We’re trying to get them to branch out a little bit.”<\/span><\/p>\n That may turn out to be a challenge considering Levine confirms new Maroon 5 music is in the works, three years after their most recent studio album,\u00a0<\/span>Jordi<\/span><\/em>. The forthcoming tracks are set to be even more special as the “She Will Be Loved” singer says they won’t be having co-writers this time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n “We’re definitely making new music and the cool thing is that I really, after, I don’t know, 13, 12, 13 years of doing co-writes, I finally have shut everybody out and it’s just me and the band making the songs,” he says, “so there’s no more of that.”<\/span><\/p>\n According to Levine, there’s been no shortage of inspiration either. “It’s like I feel like the floodgates have kind of just opened again and it’s crazy because if I had been writing up until now on my own, I might not feel the same way and might not have poured out,” he explains. “There’s so much creativity kind of pouring out right now, so I feel like I’m in a pretty amazing spot.”<\/span><\/p>\n The former <\/span>Voice\u00a0<\/span><\/i>coach has previously included his family in his music work, having featured one or both of his daughters and supermodel wife in the band’s <\/span>music videos for “Middle Ground”<\/a> in 2023 and <\/span>“Girls Like You” in 2018.<\/a><\/p>\n
