Jonathan Majors<\/strong> will spend zero time behind bars after being convicted in his domestic assault trial<\/a> last December. Instead, he has been sentenced to one year of domestic violence counseling, according to Variety<\/em><\/a>.<\/em> The actor, best known for Creed III<\/em> and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,<\/em> was found guilty<\/a> on two charges\u2014reckless assault in the third degree and one count of harassment against his ex-partner Grace Jabbari.<\/strong> He was acquitted on two other counts of intentional assault and aggravated harassment.<\/p>\n \u201cHe is not sorry and has not accepted responsibility. He will do this again. He will hurt another woman. This is a man who believes he\u2019s above the law,\u201d Jabbari reportedly said in court on Monday via her victim impact statement. \u201cI had a career and life and body, all of which he\u2019s damaged.\u201d Majors appeared in person alongside his girlfriend, Meagan Good.<\/strong> Last week, Judge Michael Gaffey<\/strong>\u00a0denied<\/a> the defense motion to overturn his convictions, opting to proceed toward sentencing.\u00a0<\/p>\n Majors faced up to a year in jail<\/a> after his conviction, which left him feeling \u201cabsolutely shocked and afraid,\u201d as the actor told ABC News in his first post-trial interview<\/a> in January.<\/p>\n While breaking his silence on the verdict, Majors maintained his innocence regarding the misdemeanor charges of assault and harassment originating from an alleged domestic altercation<\/a> with Jabbari last March. Majors, who did not testify at the trial, was arrested<\/a> March 25 after his then girlfriend was transported to a New York\u2013area hospital with \u201cminor injuries to her head and neck,\u201d the NYPD said in a statement at the time. Prosecutors said Jabbari was riding in the back of a vehicle with Majors when she grabbed his phone away after seeing a text message that said, \u201cWish I was kissing you right now,\u201d sent by a woman listed in the actor\u2019s phone<\/a> as \u201cCleopatra.\u201d<\/p>\n During her testimony<\/a>, Jabbari emotionally detailed Majors\u2019s \u201cviolent temper\u201d throughout their two-year relationship. In a September 2022 text exchange shared with jurors, Majors appeared to threaten suicide<\/a> if Jabbari sought medical treatment for her injured head. \u201cI was reckless with her heart, not with her body,\u201d Majors told ABC News, later adding, \u201cMy hands have never struck a woman, ever,\u201d and telling the outlet that he plans to appeal the conviction. In response to Majors\u2019s interview, an attorney for Jabbari, Brittany Henderson,<\/strong> said in a statement to ABC News that \u201cthe timing of these new statements demonstrates a clear lack of remorse for the actions for which he was found guilty and should make the sentencing decisions fairly easy for the court.\u201d<\/p>\n In the trial\u2019s aftermath, Marvel cut ties with Majors<\/a>, scrapping its reported plans to center multiple films around the actor\u2019s franchise character, Kang<\/a>. Prior to that, Majors\u2019s public relations firm parted ways<\/a> with him, and he was dropped<\/a> by his longtime management company due to \u201cissues surrounding the actor\u2019s personal behavior,\u201d according to Deadline<\/a> (he remains a client of management agency WME).
