\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Tori Kelly<\/strong><\/a> is opening up about her hospitalization last summer.<\/p>\n The 31-year-old singer wound up in the ICU<\/a> in July 2023, being treated for blood clots around her vital organs.<\/p>\n Now, she is doing much better and just released her brand new, self-titled album Tori.<\/em><\/p>\n In a new interview, Tori<\/strong> shared how her life has been impacted since her medical emergency nearly a year ago.<\/p>\n Check out what she said inside\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWhen I look at just my life, my career and getting to go on these tours, I\u2019m just like, \u2018I don\u2019t want to take anything for granted because life as I now have experienced is so fragile,\u2019\u201d she told People<\/a><\/em>. \u201cI\u2019m just holding people a little closer.\u201d<\/p>\n She also said that she is now feeling \u201camazing\u201d and only taking \u201ca simple medication.\u201d She also goes in for checkups occasionally to make sure she\u2019s doing well.<\/p>\n Following her health scare, Tori<\/strong> also was inspired to write a new song, \u201cHigh Water,\u201d which is on the just released album. <\/p>\n \u201cI was able to really process what had happened, and I am a late processor,\u201d she said. \u201cI think it helps me in my songwriting though, because I\u2019m able to think back and be like, \u2018Oh, that\u2019s how I felt.
