Though Netflix has yet to officially announce the change of guard, Kim is reportedly heading over to Disney Plus, where he will executive produce the streamer\u2019s new <em>Percy Jackson and the Olympians <\/em>series and develop other fresh projects.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph mb-20 font-fkroman text-18 leading-160 -tracking-1 selection:bg-franklin-20 dark:text-white dark:selection:bg-blurple [&amp;_a:hover]:shadow-highlight-franklin dark:[&amp;_a:hover]:shadow-highlight-blurple [&amp;_a]:shadow-underline-black dark:[&amp;_a]:shadow-underline-white\">Kim first became <em>Avatar<\/em>\u2019s showrunner back in 2020 following the unexpected exits of Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino \u2014 the co-creators of Nickelodeon\u2019s original <em>Avatar <\/em>animated series \u2014 due to creative differences. Since then, Konietzko and DiMartino have gone back to Nickelodeon to create more of their own <em>Avatar <\/em>stories under the company\u2019s Avatar Studios production banner. Raisani and Boylan have helped make some excellent episodes of television in the past, and it\u2019s going to be interesting to see how <em>Avatar <\/em>changes under their leadership.
