Matt Czuchry<\/strong><\/a> has defended his Gilmore Girls<\/em><\/a> character, Logan Huntzberger, after fans claimed he was a bad boyfriend<\/a> to Rory Gilmore.<\/p>\n During a Tuesday, April 2, appearance on The Talk<\/em><\/a>, the hosts played a viral TikTok video for Matt, 46. A Gilmore Girls<\/em> superfan said, \u201cLet\u2019s not talk about Jess\u2019 troubled past,\u201d referring to Milo Ventimiglia<\/strong>\u2018s love interest for Rory, played by Alexis Bledel<\/strong>, and \u201cLogan\u2019s inconsistencies.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWhy don\u2019t we talk about how the two options are actually very below average and might be the reason why standards have been on the floor for women for decades now,\u201d she added. Gilmore Girls<\/em> aired for seven seasons starting in 2000 on the CW, followed by a 2016 miniseries, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life<\/em>.<\/p>\n Matt explained in response, \u201cWe shouldn\u2019t be searching for perfection in anything, whether it be relationships or whatever it may be,\u201d as the audience applauded.<\/p>\n The Resident<\/em> star added, \u201cThat show has spanned generations because of the timeless nature of it,\u201d as new fans have tuned in after all episodes of Gilmore Girls <\/em>were added to Netflix starting in 2016.<\/p>\n As for Rory\u2019s love interests, Matt explained, \u201cI think that Logan had his strengths and weaknesses and Jess had his strengths and weaknesses and Dean had his strengths and weaknesses, like we all do. And I think that the fun of the show<\/a> is that you\u2019ve got these characters who are flawed and had these great pieces.\u201d<\/p>\n As for the never ending debate about Rory\u2019s great loves and if the TikToker was right, Matt added, \u201cI think as long as we\u2019re not shooting for perfection, then I\u2019m OK with the take.\u201d<\/p>\n Even Alexis, 42, is unsure as to who was Rory\u2019s great love. During a May 2021 appearance on Watch What Happens With Andy Cohen<\/em>, she was asked to choose between Jared Padalecki<\/strong>\u2018s Dean, Jess and Logan.<\/p>\n The Mad Men<\/em> alum combined the three names to say, \u201cJeagan?\u201d in a questioning voice. Alexis added, \u201cI can\u2019t single somebody out.\u201d<\/p>\n Fans were left hanging at the end of Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life<\/em>, when Rory discovered she was pregnant but didn\u2019t disclose the father. Many fans believed it was Logan, as did the miniseries\u2019 costume designer, Valerie Campbell<\/strong>.<\/p>\n In a TikTok video, she broke down the timeline between Rory\u2019s lovers, which included Logan, Paul and her one-night stand with the Wookiee, and said it had to be Logan based on the show\u2019s four-season timeline.<\/p>\n \u201cThe only obvious choice is \u2014 you guessed it \u2014 Logan,\u201d Valerie said. In another video she added, \u201cIf it was Paul, she would\u2019ve had the baby in the fall, if it was the Wookiee, she would\u2019ve been about to burst.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
