The cast list for season 6 of The Circle<\/em><\/a> is here, and one of these catfish is not like the others.<\/p>\n

For the first time in the Netflix show\u2019s history, an artificial intelligence bot will play the game while pretending to be a human named Max.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis season, we\u2019re adding a bit more intelligence to the chat,\u201d host Michelle Buteau<\/strong> teases in the official season 6 trailer<\/a>. \u201cAn A.I. bot is playing the game as the ultimate catfish.\u201d<\/p>\n

A November 2023 Tudum article<\/a> revealed that the chatbot has studied past seasons of the show and drew inspiration from past players when creating a profile. Max will be presented to competitors as a 26-year-old veterinary intern, and the A.I. bot will receive no assistance from producers while navigating the game.<\/p>\n

The chatbot is not the only first for season 6, which premieres on Wednesday, April 17. One contestant named Kyle<\/strong> is playing as himself, but he\u2019s also getting some help from a furry friend. The 31-year-old \u201cproud dog dad\u201d will enter the game with his canine companion, Deuce, per Tudum.<\/p>\n

Despite the new twists and a new location \u2014 season 6 will take place in Atlanta, Georgia, while past installments were filmed in the U.K. \u2014 the teaser\u2019s description promises the \u201csame game\u201d of \u201ccatfish, connections and chaos.\u201d<\/p>\n
