With nudity, I think we both share sort of a European vibe.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The Euphoria<\/em> actor, who starred on season 1 of the HBO series as staffer Dillion, made headlines in July 2021 when an episode featured him receiving a golden shower from costar Murray Bartlett<\/strong><\/a>, who portrayed hotel manager Armond.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Gage then revisited the intimate act for his role on the fourth season of You<\/em> \u2014 which premiered in February \u2014 when his character, Adam, cheats on his girlfriend Lady Phoebe (Tilly Keeper<\/strong>) after struggling to come forward about his innermost desires<\/a>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Gage told Variety<\/em> on Thursday that he\u2019s received plenty of support from fans after his appearance on both hit shows \u2014 but others aren\u2019t quite as enthusiastic.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWe have a couple people from the golden shower community that are very grateful that it\u2019s being shown on screen, and they have some haters who are yucking some people\u2019s yum,\u201d he explained. \u201cEveryone should feel heard and feel seen. I never wanted to make anyone feel scrutinized or like the butt of the joke. I just believe that everyone should embrace all their kinks and everything that they love<\/a> about themselves and not feel ashamed.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n The California native added that the \u201cgoal\u201d of his work onscreen is to help people feel \u201cconnected\u201d and \u201cseen\u201d by the characters he plays.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cAt the end of the day, you hope that the stories do more than just entertain. Maybe it\u2019s just being entertaining for the sake of being entertaining, or maybe it\u2019s an escape from whatever hard time they\u2019re having in their life, but to be seen in these characters, to feel like you can connect and like somebody else gets it \u2014\u2018I\u2019m not alone out there\u2019 \u2014 that at the end of the day is the greatest gift that I can have in this job,\u201d he said. \u201c It\u2019s the greatest compliment that I can get on anything that I\u2019m playing.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n When it comes to his sexuality, Gage has often been candid. When a social media troll posted a critique about Hollywood\u2019s pattern of casting heterosexual actors for queer roles in June 2022, the Moonshot<\/em> actor quickly fired back.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIf Hollywood can stop hiring non LGBTQIA+ actors like @lukasgage to play LGBTQIA+ characters, that would be great,\u201d the Twitter user wrote at the time. \u201cHe has played 4 so far. 1 was enough.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Gage, meanwhile, responded, \u201cU don\u2019t know my alphabet<\/a>.\u201d When the original poster encouraged the\u00a0<\/span>Queer as Folk<\/span><\/em>\u00a0<\/em>alum to \u201cenlighten the whole world\u201d of his sexual identity, he replied, \u201cNo,\u201d with a red heart emoji.<\/span><\/p>\n The\u00a0<\/em><\/span>Supergirl<\/span><\/em>\u00a0<\/em>actor has never publicly specified his sexual identity, but he has played several LGBTQIA+ characters over the years. Earlier this month, celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton<\/strong><\/a> confirmed that he and the Love, Victor<\/em> alum were dating.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cListen, I\u2019m very happy [and] very much in love<\/a>,\u201d Appleton, 39, gushed during a Wednesday, March 15, appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show<\/em><\/a>. \u201cI feel very grateful to be able to share my time with someone very special.
