Lauren Ash<\/strong><\/a> is opening up about her weight loss.<\/p>\n The 40-year-old actress, who is best known for her role as Dina on Superstore<\/em>, currently stars in ABC\u2019s Not Dead Yet<\/em>, and in a recent interview, got candid about the backlash she received when she started losing weight.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201c[Fans] saw a snapshot of my life for a period of time that was, unfortunately, the most ill I\u2019ve ever been,\u201d Lauren <\/strong>shared while speaking to TheWrap<\/a> about her appearance as Dina versus now. \u201cThis transformation has just been about getting back to kind of what is my normal and what is my baseline and is right for where I need to be.\u201d<\/p>\n She added that she credits \u201cit to a lot of self-work, and removing negativity and toxicity and stress from my life.\u201d <\/p>\n Lauren <\/strong>is one of the many celebs<\/a> who have been open about her battles<\/a> with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).<\/p>\n \u201cIt has plagued me for the last, probably, 10 years of my life, but the worst time in my life for my health was the six years I was on Superstore<\/em>,\u201d Lauren <\/strong>says.<\/p>\n She was \u201cgetting surgeries and was really struggling in trying to maintain my physical health. PCOS affects your hormones. There\u2019s a lot of it that is out of your control. For me, really the last two years have been about a) getting my mental health in a great place, and b) getting my PCOS regulated. And when I did that, I dropped a significant amount of weight.\u201d<\/p>\n Lauren <\/strong>then revealed that now, because of her weight loss as she\u2019s been getting healthier, many people have come out of the woodwork to leave hateful comments.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve got a lot of backlash on social media about people thinking and saying that I\u2019ve betrayed them, that I\u2019ve gone Hollywood, that I\u2019ve done all these things,\u201d she says. \u201cBut the reality of the situation is that the size that I\u2019m at now is the size that I was at roughly on Super Fun Night<\/em>, which was my first show that I did when I first moved to the U.S. [in 2013].\u201d<\/p>\n Lauren <\/strong>actually founded the PCOS Sisterhood<\/a>.<\/p>\n You can catch Lauren <\/strong>in Not Dead Yet<\/em>, airing Wednesdays on ABC.<\/p>\n This other network star opened up about their own weight loss<\/a> that fans have definitely noticed. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
