No matter when, the fact is that Shannen will die, and sooner than anyone in her orbit will want. <\/p>\n<p>In her podcast, she revealed that her biggest fear is leaving her mother, Rosa. Not only leaving her alone, but also leaving her with all the stuff she\u2019s accumulated in her life. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy priority at the moment is my mom,\u201d Shannen said\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/podcasts.apple.com\/us\/podcast\/lets-be-raw-with-shannen-doherty\/id1718531401\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">during the heartbreaking episode of her \u201cLet\u2019s Be Clear\u201d podcast<\/a>. \u201cI know it\u2019s going to be hard on her if I pass away before her.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She continued, \u201cBecause it\u2019s going to be so hard on her, I want other things to be a lot easier. I don\u2019t want her to have a bunch of stuff to deal with. She revealed that her big dreams have mounted to four storage units filled with antiques and other items she\u2019s collected over the years.<\/p>\n<p>She has no begun the process of donating and selling off all of these items. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe were in Tennessee and I was packing up one of the places there,\u201d she continued. \u201cIt was really hard and really emotional because to a certain extent \u2014 I felt like I was giving up on this dream of building this property out, and putting a house for me and a house for my mom and then extending the barn.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Despite how hard the process was, Shannen said letting go was \u201cthe right thing to do,\u201d knowing it would bring her a sense of \u201cpeace.\u201d<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2024\/04\/01\/entertainment\/cancer-stricken-shannen-doherty-preparing-for-death-by-downsizing-letting-go-of-possessions\/#\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-how-long-does-shannen-actually-have-to-live\">How Long Does Shannen Actually Have To Live?<\/h2>\n<p>On her first episode back in 2024, she explained that she hopes to stay alive long enough for a medical advancement to debut to beat the disease.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI always talk about the fact that we just need to squeeze out another three to five years,\u201d Shannen said when she talked about how long she has to live. \u201cAnd then there\u2019s going to be T-cell therapy or there\u2019s going to be this.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She added: \u201cThere\u2019s going to be a lot more options that will give another five years. Then in those five years, there\u2019s a whole other group of options, and eventually there\u2019s going to be a cure.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-her-health-amp-what-her-doctor-is-saying\">Her Health &amp; Doherty\u2019s oncologist Dr. Lawrence Piro, agreed that more work needs to be done if the actress is to be cured completely.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI always say that it\u2019s important to think of each therapy as a horse,\u201d Dr. Piro said on the January 1 podcast. \u201cIn a horse race, you want to ride every horse as long as it rides, and then you ride the next horse as much as possible. You hope you make it a few laps then there\u2019s altogether another new set of horses to ride, to make the race that much longer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m riding those horses so I get to the fresh set of horses,\u201d Doherty replied. \u201cAnd I\u2019m trying to get the one I\u2019m on right now to last for as long as humanly possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In other words, she knows she\u2019s still got a fight ahead \u2014 and she\u2019s ready!<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-how-is-shannen-doherty-doing-today\">How Is Shannen Doherty Doing Today?<\/h2>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.thehollywoodgossip.com\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Shannen-doherty-cancer-battle-update-getty-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"Shannen Doherty poses for a portrait in the Getty Images &amp; People Magazine Portrait Studio at Hallmark Channel and American Humanes 2019 Hero Dog Awards.<span class=\"image-caption-credit\"> (Photo by Neilson Barnard\/Getty Images for Hallmark Channel ))<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The most recent development in Doherty\u2019s cancer battle is that the disease has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2023\/11\/shannen-doherty-says-cancer-has-spread-to-bones-i-dont-want-to-die\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">spread to her bones<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t want to die,\u201d the actress said last week\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/shannen-doherty-embrace-life-cancer-spread-to-bones-cover-exclusive-8407406\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">to People Magazine<\/a>\u00a0during a photo shoot that took place four days before Thanksgiving 2023.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m not done with living,\u201d she added. \u201cI\u2019m not done with loving.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And then, she shared her most optimistic stance yet. \u201cI\u2019m not done with hopefully changing things for the better.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Along with battling cancer, Doherty is in midst of divorcing her third husband Kurt Iswarienko.
