Kristen Doute<\/strong><\/a> slammed haters who commented on her recent weight gain after she stopped smoking.<\/p>\n The Vanderpump Rules<\/em><\/a> alum, 40, revealed during the Wednesday, March 15, episode of her \u201cSex, Love and What Else Matters<\/a>\u201d podcast that she was body-shamed after she was photographed<\/a> walking to pal Ariana Madix<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s house earlier this month.<\/p>\n \u201cI text Ariana right before, like, \u2018We\u2019re in cozies, right? Because mama hasn\u2019t worn anything but leggings since 2019.\u2019 And she\u2019s like, \u2018Yeah, of course,\u2019\u201d Doute recalled, noting that she was there to help Madix, 37, through her breakup from Tom Sandoval<\/strong><\/a>, who cheated on her with costar Raquel Leviss<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n The Michigan native \u2014 who was fired from Pump Rules<\/em> in 2020<\/a> for past racist behavior \u2014 pointed out that she wore leggings and a sports bra to go comfort Madix amid the cheating scandal<\/a>, and haters were quick to come for her body.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m sorry, am I standing with my posture perfect and flexing whatever abs I have left? No, I\u2019m not,\u201d Doute said of the photos. \u201cI\u2019m not concerned about those things because I\u2019m concerned about walking into my friend\u2019s house and checking on her.\u201d<\/p>\n She asked the trolls: \u201cWhat gives you the right to comment like that? How were you raised? Go get f\u2014ked, get laid. Go get laid.\u201d<\/p>\n The He\u2019s Making You Crazy<\/em> author<\/a> noted that people instantly jumped to the conclusion that \u201cI\u2019m either pregnant or fat,\u201d adding, \u201cIt\u2019s just rude.\u201d<\/p>\n The former reality star explained that she responded to one troll asking her to share a picture of herself with the world in the same outfit to see how it felt to be criticized. \u201cAre you f\u2014king perfect? I\u2019m so sorry I don\u2019t have a six pack, who f\u2013king cares?\u201d Doute said. \u201cBody-shaming is just bulls\u2014t. It frustrates me because I know my own insecurities.\u201d<\/p>\n According to the podcast host, she began gaining weight \u201ca couple of months\u201d after she quit smoking. While Doute initially worked with a trainer, her exercise coach recently moved to Tennessee, and she has yet to get back into a consistent fitness routine.<\/p>\n \u201cI was really happy mentally, and physically was seeing changes,\u201d she recalled of the workout regiment, admitting, \u201cI just haven\u2019t put in the work lately, I know that I need to for [my] mind, body and soul. I hold weight in places when I\u2019m stressed out.\u201d<\/p>\n Doute\u2019s stress has likely been high since Us Weekly<\/em> confirmed on March 3 that Madix and Sandoval, 40, split after nine years together in the wake of his affair<\/a> with Leviss, 28.<\/p>\n While Doute was initially resistant toward Madix and Sandoval\u2019s relationship<\/a>, she has since become one of the Florida native\u2019s closest friends. (The former Bravo personality dated the TomTom cofounder from 2007 to 2013<\/a>. Sandoval later confessed to kissing Madix while he was still in a relationship with Doute.)<\/p>\n As Pump Rules<\/em> stars past and present rallied around Madix<\/a>, both the Schwartz & Sandy\u2019s co-owner and Leviss have publicly apologized for their affair.<\/p>\n \u201cI made mistakes, I was selfish and made reckless decisions that hurt somebody I love,\u201d Sandoval wrote via Instagram on March 7<\/a>. \u201cNo one deserves to feel that pain so traumatically and publicly. \u2026 My biggest regret is that I dishonored Ariana.
