(GETTY)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\nOn Monday, Angie Harmon posted a video via Instagram that claimed her dog Oliver had been shot and killed two days prior by an Instacart delivery person.<\/p>\n
In a post filled with images and videos of the German shepherd\/beagle mix, the 51-year old actress wrote that the driver \u201cgot out of his car, delivered the food & THEN shot [their] dog.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThis Easter weekend a man delivering groceries for Instacart shot & killed our precious Oliver,\u201d she explained. <\/p>\n
\u201cOur ring camera was charging in the house, which he saw & then knew he wasn\u2019t being recorded.\u201d<\/p>\n
How crazy and how horrible, right?<\/p>\n
Harmon went on to say local authorities let the driver \u201cgo, because he claimed \u2018self-defense,’\u201d adding: <\/p>\n
\u201cHe did not have a scratch or bite on him nor were his pants torn.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have no tolerance for violence of any kind, and the shopper account was immediately suspended from our platform. We have been in direct contact with the customer and are cooperating with law enforcement on their investigation.\u201d<\/p>\n
Elsewhere, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department has now said the following:<\/p>\n
\u201cThe driver told officers that a dog attacked him while he was at the residence and that he defended himself by firing a single gunshot, striking and mortally wounding the dog. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe was shopping under a woman\u2019s identity,\u201d Harmon said on Instagram, however. <\/p>\n
\u201cHe shot our dog with my daughters & myself at home & just kept saying, \u2018Yeah, I shot your dog. Yeah I did.’\u201d<\/p>\n
The Law & Order alum also shared an Instagram Story with the news. \u201cTo the man who took Ollie away from us: your actions are despicable and inexcusable,\u201d she wrote. <\/p>\n
\u201cYou\u2019ve not only robbed us of a beloved member of our family but you\u2019ve also traumatized us beyond measure.\u201d<\/p>\n
She concluded:<\/p>\n
\u201cThe fact that someone could commit such a heartless act is beyond comprehension to me and I\u2019m devastated that I didn\u2019t get to say goodbye to him.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
