9-1-1<\/a> <\/i>star Jennifer Love Hewitt<\/strong><\/a> is the mastermind behind the upcoming episode set at the Bachelor Mansion,<\/a> which makes Us love her even more.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe whole crossover episode came about because Jennifer Love Hewitt called me after she went to one of the finales of The Bachelor<\/i>,\u201d 9-1-1 <\/i>showrunner Tim Minear<\/strong> told Entertainment Weekly <\/i><\/a>in an interview published on Saturday, March 30. \u201cShe\u2019s a huge fan of The Bachelor <\/i>and she said, \u2018Wouldn\u2019t it be great if the 118 responded to a call at the Bachelor mansion?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

9-1-1<\/i>, a procedural drama about emergency responders, will answer a call from The Bachelor<\/a> <\/i>host Jesse Palmer<\/strong> in the Thursday, April 4, episode. According to the official promo<\/a>, one of the show contestants superglued herself to the driveway in front of the house. Bachelor Joey Graziadei<\/strong> plays himself in the scene, looking concerned after Palmer, 45, calls the paramedics.<\/p>\n

In the teaser, Maddie (Hewitt) and Josh (Bryan Safi<\/strong>) were the 9-1-1 operators who received the call. After hanging up the phone and dispatching aid, they appropriately fangirled with one another.<\/p>\n

According to Minear, he reached out to ABC \u2014 the network of both 9-1-1 <\/i>and The Bachelor <\/i>\u2014 to pitch Hewitt\u2019s concept. (Hewitt, 45, is a big fan of the franchise and notably attended the Golden Bachelor <\/i>\u201cAfter the Final Rose\u201d special in December 2023.)<\/p>\n

\u201cI reached out to ABC and they reached out to the Bachelor<\/i> people and we got onto a Zoom,\u201d Minear, 60, recalled to EW<\/i>. \u201cWe just started talking about what the possibilities were. The Bachelor <\/i>people were unbelievably supportive and helpful. They volunteered to show us the ropes about how they make the show and then when we shot it.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cWe actually brought in the Bachelor<\/i> crew to shoot the first part of that case, so that it really was The Bachelor<\/i>. And then we go into 9-1-1<\/i> world when they have to call 9-1-1. So that\u2019s how it came about. It just seemed like a great idea.\u201d<\/p>\n
