Beyonc\u00e9<\/a>‘s paying tribute to a country music trailblazer,\u00a0<\/span>Mickey Guyton<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n After dropping her highly anticipated country album, <\/span>Cowboy Carter<\/em><\/a>, Bey paid homage to Guyton with a bouquet of white flowers and a sweet message. Guyton shared the note Friday on Instagram, and it’s clear Bey views Guyton as a country music giant.<\/span><\/p>\n “Mickey, Thank you for opening doors for me queen. Keep Shining. Love and respect,\u00a0Beyonc\u00e9,” the note read.<\/span><\/p>\n Guyton, who in 2021 made history as the first Black artist to earn a\u202fGRAMMY\u202fnomination for Best Country Album, was moved by the touching message.<\/span><\/p>\n “With opportunity comes possibility,” she captioned her post. “The possibilities are endless with you @beyonce. God gave me an assignment and I followed. May the doors continue to stay wide open.”<\/span><\/p>\n It was on Friday when\u00a0Beyonc\u00e9 <\/span>dropped her eighth studio album,\u00a0Cowboy Carter<\/i><\/a>. The album features some serious hit makers, including\u00a0<\/span>Dolly Parton<\/a>,\u00a0<\/span>Post Malone<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>Miley Cyrus<\/a>, among others.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Prior to the official album drop, Beyonc\u00e9 confirmed that\u00a0<\/span>the project would include a cover of Parton’s “Jolene<\/a>,” and the 78-year-old music icon quickly put her stamp of approval on it.<\/span><\/p>\n In February, Beyonc\u00e9 <\/span>dropped<\/a> “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages” during Super Bowl LVIII. She’d go on to make history as <\/span>the first Black female artist to top Billboard’s Hot 100 Country Songs chart<\/a> with “Texas Hold ‘Em.”<\/span><\/p>\n
