Lizzo<\/strong><\/a> has had enough of the negativity she is feeling online.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m getting tired of putting up with being dragged by everyone in my life and on the internet,\u201d the Grammy winner, 35, wrote via Instagram<\/a> on Friday, March 29. \u201cAll I want is to make music and make people happy and help the world be a little better than how I found it. But I\u2019m starting to feel like the world doesn\u2019t want me in it.\u201d<\/p>\n

The singer explained that she\u2019s \u201cconstantly up against lies being told about me for clout & views.\u201d<\/p>\n

She also noted that she often feels \u201cthe butt of the joke every single time because of how I look\u201d and fears her character is \u201cbeing picked apart by people who don\u2019t know me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tLizzo has made headlines over the years, both for her empowering music and controversial moments. In 2017 and 2019, the singer was accused of plagiarism by British singer Mina Lioness and producer Justin Raisen over her 2017 single \u201cTruth Hurts.\u201d The drama surrounded one of the song\u2019s opening lines \u2014 \u201cI just took a DNA [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t sign up for this s\u2014t,\u201d Lizzo added. \u201cI QUIT.\u201d<\/p>\n

While it\u2019s unclear what led to the \u201cAbout Damn Time\u201d singer\u2019s latest Instagram post, Lizzo has found herself in controversy after she was accused of harassment and discrimination.<\/p>\n

Us Weekly <\/i>confirmed in August 2023 that three of Lizzo\u2019s former backup dancers named the singer in a lawsuit<\/a>, alleging that she fostered a hostile work environment and promoted religious harassment, disability discrimination and sexual harassment.<\/p>\n

Lizzo later called the allegations<\/a> \u201cfalse,\u201d \u201cunbelievable\u201d and \u201ctoo outrageous not to be addressed.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThese sensationalized stories are coming from former employees who have already publicly admitted that they were told their behavior on tour was inappropriate and unprofessional,\u201d Lizzo said at the time. \u201cAs an artist, I have always been very passionate about what I do. I take my music and my performances seriously because, at the end of the day, I only want to put out the best art that represents me and my fans.\u201d<\/p>\n
