Lindsay Hubbard<\/strong><\/a> confessed that she might\u2019ve been \u201cna\u00efve\u201d during her relationship with Carl Radke<\/strong><\/a> after issues continued to plague them ahead of their nuptials<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve never been in a situation where I\u2019ve had a sex problem<\/a> or dated a sober guy,\u201d Lindsay, 37, told Amanda Batula<\/strong> and Paige DeSorbo<\/strong> on the Thursday, March 28, episode of Summer House<\/em><\/a>, which was filmed in July 2023, one month before Carl, 39, called off his and Lindsay\u2019s wedding<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Lindsay then claimed that Carl\u2019s preconceived ideas about her as a girlfriend versus a friend were partially to blame for their struggles.<\/p>\n

\u201cI honestly think he thought we were going to get into a relationship, and I was going to change,\u201d she told the girls, to which Paige, 31, replied, \u201cTo what though?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tBravo\/YouTube (2) Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard\u2019s split surprised many fans \u2014 but season 8 of Summer House continues to prove that a breakup was inevitable. Us Weekly confirmed in August 2023 that Carl, 39, called off his and Lindsay\u2019s engagement\u00a0one year after his proposal. Lindsay, 37, later told Us she was \u201ccompletely blindsided\u201d by [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Amanda, 32, gave her insight into the situation during a confessional, saying, \u201cI don\u2019t think Carl was like, \u2018She\u2019s going to change for me.\u2019 I think Carl thought because we\u2019re madly in love and going to get married she would have a little more respect for him. Or treat him differently than she does everyone else.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lindsay continued to confide in her housemates during the group\u2019s Hamptons\u2019 racing party, confessing, \u201cThere are little miniature flags\u201d with Carl, \u201cBut they\u2019re not red enough for me to be like, \u2018Oh I don\u2019t want to get married.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in the episode, Kyle Cooke<\/strong> expressed concerns over \u201cred flags\u201d he thought Carl was overlooking<\/a>. At the time, Carl was still in New York City, while his then-fianc\u00e9e Lindsay was in the Hamptons with the rest of their pals.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy two cents from his perspective, ever since I got serious with Amanda<\/a> he\u2019s wanted a relationship,\u201d Kyle, 42, alleged to Lindsay of Carl\u2019s thought process. \u201cRight now, he\u2019s in tunnel vision mode. [Saying], \u2018This wedding\u2019s happening.\u2019 He\u2019s basically so committed to seeing this thing through he\u2019s pushing through some of the red flags, not even a red flag, some of the hardships.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lindsay fired back, asking, \u201cHe wants the marriage more than the actual relationship? That\u2019s what you\u2019re basically telling me right now.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kyle said that he was just trying to explain that Carl \u201cloves\u201d Lindsay and wants the wedding to work out \u201cso bad,\u201d even with all their ups and downs.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tLindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke went through it all on Summer House \u2014 from breakups to makeups and more \u2014 before calling off their engagement in August 2023. When the series premiered on Bravo in January 2017, Hubbard and Radke were part of the OG cast of Summer House and have since returned for every [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Lindsay got defensive and claimed that Carl was the one causing their fights because he can\u2019t get past her drinking<\/a>. (Carl has been sober since 2021.)<\/p>\n

\u201cIf I have one sip of alcohol and I have an emotion other than happy it\u2019s a problem. If I\u2019m happy he\u2019s totally fine,\u201d Lindsay alleged. \u201cIf I have something else in me that\u2019s not so Stepford Wife he literally cannot handle it.\u201d<\/p>\n

She argued, \u201cHe\u2019s constantly being, like, \u2018How many drinks have you had?\u2019\u201d noting that if Carl wants to \u201ckeep on questioning\u201d her and \u201cjudging\u201d her choices then she\u2019s going to \u201cquestion\u201d him on the things he does.<\/p>\n
