\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Pierpaolo Piccioli<\/strong><\/a> is out at Valentino<\/strong><\/a><\/em>, and Alessandro Michele<\/strong><\/a> is in.<\/p>\n The fashion house confirmed earlier in the week that the 56-year-old creative director of the brand exited this week after 25 years with the company.<\/p>\n His last fall 2024 collection was shown during Paris Fashion Week<\/em>. Valentino<\/em> said it would not participate in menswear and couture week showings in June amid the news of the transition.<\/p>\n Pierpaolo<\/strong> was named sole creative director of Valentino<\/em> in July 2016, following the departure of Maria Grazia Chiuri<\/strong> to join Dior<\/em>. <\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Alessandro Michele<\/strong><\/a> left his creative director role at Gucci<\/strong><\/a><\/em> in November 2022.<\/p>\n He starts the Valentino <\/em>gig next week, according to an internal statement, via WWD<\/a>. His first collection for Valentino<\/em> will be for Spring 2025.<\/p>\n He joined the Gucci<\/em> design studio in 2002 after serving as senior accessories designer at Fendi<\/em>. He was appointed \u201cassociate\u201d to then-creative director Frida Giannini<\/strong> in 2011, and in 2014 took on the role of creative director of Richard Ginori<\/em>, the porcelain brand acquired by Gucci<\/em> in 2013.
