Kenan Thompson<\/strong><\/a> opened up about his relationship with Amanda Bynes<\/strong><\/a>. <\/p>\n As child stars, the actors appeared on All That<\/em> together, and they both had successful careers working with Nickelodeon throughout their youth. <\/p>\n He wrote about Amanda<\/strong> in his memoir When I Was Your Age: Life Lessons, Funny Stories & Questionable Parenting Advice From a Professional Clown<\/em>. During a recent interview, Kenan<\/strong>, 45, revealed the last time that he and Amanda<\/strong>, 37, had been in touch and where they stand in 2024. <\/p>\n Read more for the latest about Amanda Bynes and Kenan Thompson\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n While on the Tamron Hall Show<\/em>, Kenan<\/strong> explained that he and Amanda<\/strong> hadn\u2019t spoken in years.<\/p>\n \u201cI unfortunately haven\u2019t spoken to Amanda <\/strong>since she was really, really young,\u201d he explained. \u201cLike when she was doing her first movies. I think the soccer movie [She’s the Man<\/em>] was around that time, was the last time I actually saw her. I\u2019m just rooting for her from afar.\u201d<\/p>\n During the interview, a snippet of Kenan<\/strong>\u2018s memoir was read: \u201cShe was like all of our little sister, and we were all very protective of her,\u201d he wrote about his former costar. \u201cAmanda<\/strong> was the sweetest, happiest girl, and she loved to laugh.\u201d <\/p>\n \u201cShe was an explosion of bright innocence and joy,\u201d he added. <\/p>\n Kenan<\/strong> also described Amanda<\/strong> as \u201cadorable,\u201d saying that she \u201chad a ginormous range of talent,\u201d via EW<\/a>. \u201cShe was the best, man; we were very close.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cShe was funny whether the cameras were rolling or not. She was an old soul, it was almost like she\u2019d made the decision at that young of an age to be the next Carol Burnett. I remember she was so knowledgeable about Lucille Ball\u2019s comedy style. I connected with her because she was laser-focused like me and had a very sweet, supportive family, too,\u201d he added. \u201cUnfortunately, some leeches sent her down a dark path. When she went left for a little while, we all were sad. I cared about her, and I still do.
