Beyonc\u00e9 first revealed she was going country<\/a> during Super Bowl LVIII in February with the release of her next LP, a follow-up to her 2022 record, Renaissance. <\/i>The album was later revealed to be called Cowboy Carter<\/i>.<\/p>\nAs Beyonc\u00e9 dropped the first two singles off the album, it skyrocketed to the top of the charts.<\/p>\n
\u201cToday marks the 10-day countdown until the release of Act II,\u201d she wrote via Instagram<\/a> on March 19. \u201cThank you from the bottom of my heart to all of the supporters of \u2018Texas Hold \u2018Em\u2019 and \u201816 Carriages.\u2019 I feel honored to be the first Black woman with the number one single on the Hot Country Songs chart.\u201d<\/p>\nThe Grammy winner continued, \u201cThat would not have happened without the outpouring of support from each and every one of you. My hope is that years from now, the mention of an artist\u2019s race, as it relates to releasing genres of music, will be irrelevant.\u201d<\/p>\n
