\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Stephen Colbert<\/strong><\/a> has expressed remorse over his statements about the Prince and Princess of Wales<\/a> that he made before it was revealed that Kate Middleton<\/strong><\/a> was diagnosed with cancer<\/a>.<\/p>\n On The Late Show with Stephen Colbert<\/em><\/strong> earlier this month, the 59-year-old talk show host fed into a conspiracy theory<\/a> involving Prince William<\/strong><\/a> and a friend of their family, Lady Rose Hanbury<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n On his Monday night (March 25) episode, Stephen<\/strong> shared, \u201cI tell a lot of jokes, and I tell jokes about a lot of different things, mostly what everybody\u2019s talking about. And for the last six weeks to two months, everybody has been talking about the mystery of Kate Middleton<\/strong>\u2019s disappearance from public life.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cTwo weeks ago, we did some jokes about that mystery and all the \u2018foofraw\u2019 in reporting about that. And when I made those jokes, that upset some people\u2026 even before her diagnosis was revealed. And I can understand that. A lot of my jokes have upset people in the past. And I\u2019m sure some of my jokes will upset people in the future,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n Stephen <\/strong>then shifted, saying, \u201cThere\u2019s a standard that I try to hold myself to, and that is I do not make light of somebody else\u2019s tragedy.\u201d <\/p>\n He continued, \u201cFar too many of us know that any cancer diagnosis of any kind is harrowing for the patient and for their family.
