Bridgerton<\/em> alum Reg\u00e9-Jean Page<\/strong><\/a> revealed that he and Phoebe Dynevor<\/strong><\/a> had \u201chorrendous coffee breath\u201d while filming the sexy period drama<\/a>.<\/p>\n The British actor, 34, gushed about Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves<\/em> costar Chris Pine<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s scent on the Tuesday, March 14, episode of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert<\/em><\/a>. While Page quipped that Pine, 42, \u201csmells delicious,\u201d he didn\u2019t have the same fondness for himself and Dynevor, 27.<\/p>\n \u201cThat\u2019s what no one knows about Bridgerton<\/em> \u2014 Phoebe and I both had horrendous coffee breath the whole way through,\u201d he told host Stephen Colbert<\/strong><\/a>, who was sipping a cup of decaf.<\/p>\n The Roots alum explained that he and his costar \u201cmade a pact early on\u201d while filming season 1. \u201cThis is one of the things you do,\u201d he added. \u201cYou approach your other actor and you go, \u2018Hey, so this scene\u2019s after lunch. What are our rules? Are we no onions, are we no garlic? Do I have to get the coffee in early?\u2019 And then, we both are like, \u2018I actually really like coffee<\/a>. So I don\u2019t mind that.\u2019 So the other person\u2019s like, \u2018Oh, thank God.\u2019 So we had a coffee safe space all the way through that shoot.\u201d<\/p>\n Page and Dynevor\u2019s onscreen chemistry quickly made headlines when the Netflix series premiered on Christmas Day in 2020. Throughout season 1 of Bridgerton<\/em> \u2014 which is based on Julia Quinn<\/strong>\u2019s book series by the same name \u2014 Simon (Page) and Daphne (Dynevor) hooked audiences with their steamy, NSFW love scenes<\/a>.<\/p>\n The fictional couple\u2019s story arc came to an end at the conclusion of the season, and Netflix announced in April 2021 that Page wouldn\u2019t return for season 2, which focused on Daphne\u2019s brother, Lord Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey<\/strong><\/a>).<\/p>\n However, he later teased that he could make a cameo<\/a> in later seasons as each Bridgerton sibling gets their time in the spotlight.<\/p>\n \u201cYou know I couldn\u2019t tell you!\u201d he told GQ<\/em> in September 2021. \u201cIsn\u2019t there something wonderful about being surprised by what you weren\u2019t suspecting?\u201d<\/p>\n Unfortunately for fans who wanted to see more of The Duke of Hastings \u2014 in every possible way \u2014 the For the People<\/em> actor later confirmed that his involvement with the series had run its course.<\/p>\n \u201cSimon started from a very dark place.
