Actress Olivia Colman<\/a><\/strong> recently spoke out about the significant gender pay gaps in the film and television industry, highlighting that her salary would be substantially higher if she were a male actor.<\/p>\n

During her appearance on CNN\u2019s The Amanpour Hour<\/strong><\/em> last Saturday, the acclaimed Wonka<\/em> actress, at 50, voiced her frustrations regarding the longstanding issue of unequal wages between male and female actors in Hollywood.<\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t get me started on the pay disparity, but male actors get paid more because they used to say they draw in the audiences,\u201d Colman said<\/a>. And actually, that hasn\u2019t been true for decades. But they still like to use that as a reason not to pay women as much as their male counterparts.\u201d<\/p>\n
