Olivia Colman<\/strong><\/a> spoke candidly about the current pay gap in Hollywood, saying that she would earn much more if she were a man.<\/p>\n \u201cDon\u2019t get me started on the pay disparity, but male actors get paid more because they used to say they drew in the audiences,\u201d Colman, 50, said during a Saturday, March 23, appearance on CNN\u2019s The Amanpour Hour<\/em><\/a>. \u201cAnd actually, that hasn\u2019t been true for decades but they still like to use that as a reason to not pay women as much as their male counterparts.\u201d<\/p>\n She added, \u201cResearch suggests that [women] were always big box office draws.\u201d<\/p>\n Host Christiane Amanpour<\/strong> asked Colman if the wage gap was still relevant to her as an Oscar-winning actress. \u201cI\u2019m very aware that if I was Oliver Colman, I\u2019d be earning a f\u2013k of a lot more than I am,\u201d The Crown<\/em> actress replied. \u201cI know of one pay disparity, which is a 12,000 percent difference.\u201d<\/p>\n
