Actress Karen Pittman<\/strong>, one of the new core cast members of Max\u2019s Sex and the City<\/em> revival And Just Like That<\/em>, has departed the series, which means actress Cynthia Nixon\u2019s<\/strong> teacher-turned-roommate, Dr. Nya Wallace, will no longer appear on the show.<\/p>\n According to Deadline, which reported<\/a> the news on Friday, Pittman\u2019s packed schedule prompted the move. The actress, who, with Sarita Choudhury<\/strong> and Nicole Ari Parker<\/strong>, joined the show\u2019s core cast of Sarah Jessica Parker<\/strong>, Cynthia Nixon<\/strong>, and Kristin Davis<\/strong> at its launch in 2021, also plays Mia Jordan on Apple TV series The Morning Show.<\/em>\u00a0<\/p>\n Viewers saw the impact of Pittman\u2019s Morning Show<\/em> commitment in the show\u2019s second season, And Just Like That<\/em> writer, director, and executive producer Michael Patrick King<\/strong> told Vanity Fair<\/a> last year, with her character netting far less screen time than others on the show as the production worked around her schedule.\u00a0<\/p>\n Since then, it\u2019s been announced that Pittman has been cast in<\/a> Mara Brock Akil\u2019s<\/strong> upcoming Netflix adaptation of Forever<\/em>, novelist Judy Blume\u2019s<\/strong> controversial teen romance from 1975.
