\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Robin Roberts<\/strong><\/a> is sharing an update on her longtime love Amber Laign<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s cancer battle.<\/p>\n Back in 2021, the 62-year-old Good Morning America<\/em> anchor revealed that Amber<\/strong> \u2013 her partner over 18 years \u2013 was diagnosed with breast cancer<\/a> and struggled with chemotherapy complications last April.<\/p>\n In July 2022, Robin<\/strong> celebrated Amber<\/strong> completing her radiation treatment.<\/p>\n In a new interview, Robin<\/strong> shared an update on how Amber<\/strong> is doing now.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIt was a rough year; her journey with breast cancer took some unexpected twists and turns but she is doing really really well,\u201d Robin <\/strong>told Entertainment Tonight<\/a><\/em>. \u201cDoctors said when it comes to treatment, it\u2019s like women and shoes \u2014 they don\u2019t always fit \u2014 and so they had to find the right fit for her with treatment.\u201d <\/p>\n After Amber<\/strong>\u2018s difficulties with chemotherapy, Robin<\/strong> says that her prognosis \u201cis excellent\u201d and she\u2019s \u201cready to start a new chapter as well\u201d \u2013 which includes getting married<\/a>!<\/p>\n Though she didn\u2019t give specific wedding details, Robin<\/strong> did say that she and Amber<\/strong> have a date in mind.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m proud to talk about [it], I\u2019m going to be a married women,\u201d Robin<\/strong> shared. \u201cOur families are so excited [and] the save the dates [are] going to be going out soon.\u201d<\/p>\n Robin<\/strong> continued, \u201c[Amber] is my person after 18 years and that\u2019s why when Gabby Bernstein was asking me about it at the beginning of the year, I raised my hand [and] I said, \u2018No, I\u2019m meditating on the marriage, I\u2019m not just looking to have a wedding day. I\u2019m looking at the union.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt is so exciting to know like, I\u2019ve been with this person for 18 years and we\u2019re still excited and we still wanna be with each other and we still want to start this new chapter together,\u201d Robin<\/strong> gushed.<\/p>\n <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n
