Danny DeVito has confirmed he and Arnold Schwarzenegger are going to working together in a film for the first time in 30 years<\/p>\n
The actor, 79, and Arnold, 76, who first starred with each other as unlikely brothers in 1998\u2019s \u2018Twins\u2019 as well as two other movies in the 1990s, have been rumoured since last year to be planning a new project.<\/p>\n
Danny has now told CNN: \u201cWe\u2019re working on something \u2013 a project that we\u2019re going to do together \u2013 another movie.<\/p>\n
\u201cArnold and I are good buddies. We met way before \u2018Twins\u2019, years ago.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe get along really well.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nAs well as \u2018Twins\u2019, Danny and Arnold starred together in the 1994 comedy \u2018Junior\u2019, a year after Danny had a role in Arnold\u2019s \u2018The Last Action Hero\u2019 as the voice of a cartoon cat detective.<\/p>\n
\n\u2018Matilda\u2019 actor Danny first teased a potential reunion with Arnold in a GQ interview in November.<\/p>\n
\nReferencing his friend\u2019s tenure as governor of California from 2003 to 2011, Danny joked: \u201cWe missed \u2018Twins 2\u2019, because he became governor \u2013 which, he should have done \u2018Twins 2\u2019 instead of becoming governor.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nA follow-up to \u2018Twins\u2019 has been rumoured for years, including talk of a sequel titled \u2018Triplets\u2019 starring comics Eddie Murphy and Tracy Morgan.<\/p>\n
\nDanny told CNN he and Arnold\u2019s upcoming project is about \u201cjust two friends, two guys\u201d.<\/p>\n
\nHe added: \u201cWe complement each other in a lot of ways. I am way stronger than he is.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cWe\u2019re hoping that sooner than later, we\u2019ll have a nice script to go to work.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nDanny and Arnold appeared as presenters at the 96th Oscars ceremony on 10 March, introducing the best visual effects and best film editing categories.<\/p>\n
\nThey used their spot to poke fun at them both having the experience of being beaten up by Batman on screen, and Danny said about the appearance: \u201cIt\u2019s just so much fun and we kept it a surprise as much as we could. We didn\u2019t tell anybody and that was fun going out there and it was a big, good reception.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
