Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet<\/a>\u00a0has a fan in <\/span>John Travolta<\/a>!<\/span><\/p>\n On Tuesday, Travolta, 70, took to Instagram to praise Chalamet, 28, for tying a record that the\u00a0<\/span>Grease\u00a0<\/span><\/em>star set back in the ’70s.<\/span><\/p>\n According to\u00a0<\/span>IndieWire<\/a><\/em>, Chalamet matched the box office record after his two recent films —\u00a0<\/span>Wonka <\/span><\/em>and <\/span>Dune 2<\/span><\/em> — each amassed over $200 million. The feat meant that Chalamet led the\u00a0top two domestic grossing films over the last eight months.<\/span><\/p>\n Travolta accomplished the same between 1977 and 1978, when\u00a0<\/span>Saturday Night Fever\u00a0<\/span><\/em>and\u00a0<\/span>Grease\u00a0<\/span><\/em>accomplished the same in eight months, the outlet reported.<\/span><\/p>\n “Congratulations Timoth\u00e9e!” Travolta wrote alongside a screenshot of an article announcing the news. “It’s great to have someone to share my box office record with. Sincerely, JT.”<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0When ET spoke to Chalamet back in December, <\/span>he noted his appreciation<\/a> for all the success he’s been experiencing as of late.<\/span><\/p>\n “I’m very grateful,” he told ET at the <\/span>Wonka\u00a0<\/span><\/em>premiere. “I woke up this morning very grateful. It’s my first big LA premiere ever, so very grateful.”<\/span><\/p>\n As for\u00a0<\/span>Dune 2<\/span><\/em>, Chalamet got to star in the sequel alongside his real-life pal, <\/span>Zendaya<\/a>. When ET chatted with the co-stars in February, <\/span>they admitted<\/a> that it was odd kissing onscreen amid his romance with <\/span>Kylie Jenner<\/a> and her relationship with <\/span>Tom Holland<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n “It’s weird as hell, ’cause we’re so close, platonically. In the scope of the movie, it’s totally what is happening, but I also feel like we are so tight now that it really is just like another day at work,” Chalamet said. “I don’t know what that says about the nature of our jobs, but it’s just another day of work.”<\/span><\/p>\n
