Barry Watson<\/strong><\/a> is acknowledging a strange moment from the pilot episode of 7th Heaven<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

During a Sunday, March 17, panel at \u201890s Con<\/a> in Hartford, Connecticut, Watson, 49, responded to a fan who asked about the almost-kiss between himself and Jessica Biel<\/strong><\/a>, who played siblings Matt and Mary Camden, in the show\u2019s first episode.<\/p>\n

\u201cI knew then, I was like, \u2018I don\u2019t want to do this,\u2019\u201d Waston recalled, per People<\/em><\/a>. \u201cAnd I found out from Brenda<\/strong> [Hampton<\/strong>], the creator, that it was [executive producer] Aaron<\/strong> [Spelling<\/strong>] that insisted on having that scene. That was the only time I ever questioned Aaron\u2019s creativity because I always think, \u2018This would never happen.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

During the scene in question, Mary asked her older brother for kissing tips before closing her eyes and leaning in for a smooch. The duo were then caught by their father, Eric Camden (Stephen Collins<\/strong>), who merely stared at them in confusion.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThe love of family. The cast of\u00a07th Heaven\u00a0has come a long way since the series ended in 2007 after 11 seasons and 243 episodes. The drama ran on The WB and later The CW from August 1996 to May 2007. Stephen Collins (Eric Camden) and Catherine Hicks (Annie Camden) starred as a reverend and his [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThis isn\u2019t what it looks like,\u201d Matt told his dad, who replied, \u201cThat\u2019s a relief.\u201d<\/p>\n

Catherine Hicks<\/strong>, who played the family matriarch, Annie Camden, on the WB series, asked Watson on Sunday whether he and Biel, 42, actually \u201cmade out\u201d during the scene.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo!\u201d Watson responded before quipping, \u201cOf course, back then, Jessie probably wouldn\u2019t have minded.\u201d<\/p>\n

Elsewhere during the panel, Hicks, 72, said both Biel and Beverley Mitchell<\/strong>, who played Lucy Camden, \u201chad such a crush\u201d on Watson while filming the show, which ran from 1996 to 2006.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey were, like, so in love with him,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were all in love with Barry,\u201d David Gallagher<\/strong>, who played Simon Camden, chimed in.<\/p>\n

Watson then revealed that his costars weren\u2019t exactly subtle about their feelings for him.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019d come out of my trailer, they were always lingering around,\u201d he recalled. \u201cThey were trying to act naturally.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mitchell, 43, argued that her trailer was \u201cright next\u201d to Watson\u2019s, but Watson shot back that she and Biel would be \u201con the stairs\u201d waiting outside for him.<\/p>\n

While Biel was not present at the panel, she previously opened up about her crush on Watson<\/a> during a June 2021 appearance on Dax Shepard<\/strong>\u2019s \u201cArmchair expert\u201d podcast.<\/p>\n
