Reba McEntire<\/strong><\/a> has nothing but love for Taylor Swift,<\/strong>\u00a0<\/a>despite recent reports to the contrary.<\/p>\n

\u201cPlease don\u2019t believe everything you see on the Internet. I did not say this,\u201d McEntire, 68, wrote via Instagram<\/a> on Saturday, March 16, referring to a false quote tied to Super Bowl LVIII. \u201cTaylor is a wonderful artist, strong role model and has done so much good for so many people and the music industry.\u201d<\/p>\n

Facebook account America Loves Liberty had quoted McEntire as saying, \u201cI let [Taylor] have it afterward. She\u2019s an entitled little brat,\u201d in reference to Swift\u2019s alleged reaction to McEntire\u2019s Super Bowl performance.<\/p>\n

McEntire performed the national anthem at the big game in February, which took place in Las Vegas. Swift, 34, had attended the game<\/a> to cheer on her boyfriend, Travis Kelce<\/strong>, who plays for the Kansas City Chiefs. (The Chiefs ultimately beat the San Francisco 49ers to clinch their second consecutive Lombardi Trophy.)<\/p>\n

The sitcom ran for six seasons from October 2001 to February 2007. McEntire starred as a single mother raising her three children \u2014 played by JoAnna Garcia Swisher, Scarlett Pomers [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

According to the America Loves Liberty post, McEntire was allegedly \u201cdisappointed\u201d that Swift was laughing and drinking throughout the Super Bowl. The social media note further claimed that McEntire thought Swift had made \u201ca mockery\u201d of the NFL championship.<\/p>\n

Not only did McEntire set the record straight, but so did her celebrity friends.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey spelled your name McIntire. So made up story AND a lazy proofreader! \ud83d\ude02<\/span>,\u201d her\u00a0Reba\u00a0<\/i>costar Melissa Peterman<\/strong> wrote via Instagram comment, referring to the Facebook post misspelling the country singer\u2019s last name.<\/p>\n

Actress Alicia Witt<\/strong>, for her part, added: \u201cGood gracious. As though you would have ever said such a thing \ud83d\ude44<\/span>.\u201d<\/p>\n

McEntire, in fact, has been a vocal supporter of Swift\u2019s career for many years.<\/p>\n

McEntire also approves of Swift\u2019s romance with Kelce, 34.<\/p>\n
