Celine Dion<\/a>\u00a0shared a message of hope to honor International Stiff Person Syndrome Awareness Day.<\/span><\/p>\n The legendary singer took to Instagram on Friday and vowed “to one day get back onto the stage and to live as normal of a life as possible.” The inspirational message was accompanied by\u00a0a photo of her three sons —\u00a0Ren\u00e9-Charles Ang\u00e9lil, 23, and twins Nelson and Eddy, both 13.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Dion’s message of hope comes amid her battle with Stiff Person Syndrome, a rare neurological condition marked by painful muscle spasms and stiffness. The 55-year-old was <\/span>diagnosed<\/a> with the condition in December 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n “Trying to overcome this autoimmune disorder has been one of the hardest experiences of my life,” she said in her caption, “but I remain determined to one day get back onto the stage and to live as normal of a life as possible. I am deeply grateful for the love and support from my kids, family, team and all of you!”<\/span><\/p>\n She added, “I want to send my encouragement and support to all those around the world that have been affected by SPS. Love Celine xx\u2026”<\/span><\/p>\n The message comes just over a month after Dion made a triumphant return to the public eye — for the first time since November 2023 — when she made a surprise appearance at the\u00a0<\/span>2024 GRAMMY Awards<\/a>\u00a0to present the Album of the Year award, which went to\u00a0<\/span>Taylor Swift’s\u00a0Midnights<\/em><\/a>.
