In a ceremony held on Thursday night in Los Angeles, GLAAD announced winners in several categories for the 35th Annual GLAAD Media Awards<\/a><\/strong>. The awards honor the fair, accurate, and inclusive representations of LGBTQ people and issues.<\/p>\n

In addition to the GLAAD Media Award recipients listed below, Oprah Winfrey<\/a><\/strong> received the Vanguard Award (for her decades-long commitment to allyship), and Niecy Nash-Betts<\/a><\/strong> was honored with the Stephen F. Kolzak Award (which is presented to an LGBTQ media professional who has made a significant difference in promoting LGBTQ acceptance).<\/p>\n

The Los Angeles ceremony was hosted by Wayne Brady<\/a><\/strong> and featured special performances from Chl\u00f6e<\/strong> and Kate Hudson<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

More winners\u2014including Outstanding New TV Series, Outstanding Film: Streaming or TV, and Outstanding Reality Series\u2014will be announced on May 11 at a second ceremony in New York.<\/p>\n

GLAAD presented the following awards from six categories onstage:<\/h2>\n

Fellow Travelers<\/em><\/strong> received the GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series<\/strong> presented by Michaela Ja\u00e9 Rodriguez.<\/p>\n

Ted Lasso<\/em><\/strong> received the GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Comedy Series<\/strong> presented by Alexandra Shipp and Sydney Sweeney.<\/p>\n

Monica<\/em><\/strong> received the GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Film \u2013 Limited Theatrical Release<\/strong> presented by Scott Evans.<\/p>\n

RuPaul\u2019s Drag Race<\/em><\/strong> received the GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Reality Competition Program<\/strong> presented by Meredith Marks and Heather Dubrow.<\/p>\n

Yellowjackets<\/em><\/strong> received the GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Drama Series<\/strong> presented by Chrishell Stause and G Flip.<\/p>\n

Rene\u00e9 Rapp<\/strong><\/em> received the GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Music Artist<\/strong> presented by Green Day\u2019s Billie Joe Armstrong.<\/p>\n
