His lawyer, Marty Singer<\/strong>, clapped back at the report that claimed Kevin wanted to shoot eight episodes in just one week, stating, \u201cThe idea that Kevin was only willing to work one week on the second half of season 5 of Yellowstone is an absolute lie. It\u2019s ridiculous \u2014 and anyone suggesting it shouldn\u2019t be believed for one second. As everyone who knows anything about Kevin is well aware, he is incredibly passionate about the show and has always gone way above and beyond to ensure its success.\u201d<\/p>\n That same month, Puck News<\/em> reported that Kevin and show creator Taylor were in disagreement, with veteran reporter Matthew Belloni<\/strong> noting, \u201cKevin Costner is famously headstrong and he has been at odds with Taylor Sheridan, the creator of this show, for months now over the days that he\u2019s gonna be shooting for the next part of the season.\u201d He continued, \u201cHe really wanted to put that in front of Yellowstone<\/em>, and the\u00a0 producers of Yellowstone<\/em> said, \u2018Hey, the show is your first priority, we\u2019re paying you a lot of money to do this show.\u2019 And Kevin just was very headstrong and wanted his way. However, an insider told Life & Style<\/em> in March 2024 that the cast of the hit show had \u201ccut [Kevin] loose\u201d<\/a> given all the controversy surrounding Yellowstone<\/em>, and it was deeply disappointing to him.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cHe used to hear from Cole [Hauser] and the rest of the gang \u2014 but they\u2019ve cut him loose in the months since he walked away from the show,\u201d the source said. \u201cThey\u2019re making no effort to see him and don\u2019t get excited when he calls.
