As Princess Kate Middleton<\/strong><\/a> continues to stay out of the public eye, many royal watchers have their eyes on Easter Sunday for a possible sighting.<\/p>\n

After undergoing abdominal surgery<\/a> in January, Middleton, 42, has not stepped out publicly leaving fans to ask questions about her whereabouts.<\/p>\n

The scrutiny only increased when the Princess of Wales posted a Mother\u2019s Day portrait photo<\/a> sitting with her and Prince William<\/strong>\u2019s three children: Prince George<\/strong>, 10, Princess Charlotte<\/strong>, 8, and Prince Louis<\/strong>, 5.<\/p>\n

At first glance, the photo appeared to be a welcomed new family portrait. But after speculation arose that the picture was manipulated, Middleton issued a public statement<\/a> confirming the photo was edited.<\/p>\n

\u201cLike many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing,\u201d read a post shared via the official Prince and Princess of Wales X account<\/a> on March 11. \u201cI wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused. I hope everyone celebrating had a very happy Mother\u2019s Day.\u201d<\/p>\n

Back in January, Kensington Palace confirmed<\/a> that Middleton\u2019s abdominal surgery was successful and the royal princess will remain in the hospital for ten to fourteen days before returning home to recover.<\/p>\n

\u201cBased on the current medical advice, she is unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter,\u201d read a statement shared via the palace\u2019s official X account.<\/p>\n

At the end of February, Middleton\u2019s rep reiterated the palace\u2019s anticipated schedule saying in a statement, \u201cKensington Palace made it clear in January the timelines of the princess\u2019 recovery and we\u2019d only be providing significant updates. That guidance stands.\u201d<\/p>\n

When Easter Sunday arrives, Middleton and Prince William, 41, typically enjoy part of the day with family at a church service inside St George\u2019s Chapel.<\/p>\n
