The news follows a similar pilot announced by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2024\/1\/18\/24043065\/bmw-figure-robotics-humanoid-robot-workers-deployment\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BMW in January<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph mb-20 font-fkroman text-18 leading-160 -tracking-1 selection:bg-franklin-20 dark:text-white dark:selection:bg-blurple [&amp;_a:hover]:shadow-highlight-franklin dark:[&amp;_a:hover]:shadow-highlight-blurple [&amp;_a]:shadow-underline-black dark:[&amp;_a]:shadow-underline-white\">Apptronik says that Mercedes is exploring use cases like having Apollo inspect and deliver components to human production line workers. Its \u201cface\u201d is delightfully goofy, but otherwise its form factor isn\u2019t too different from other humanoid robots in development, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2023\/5\/16\/23726139\/tesla-robot-update-video-shareholder-meeting\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tesla\u2019s Optimus robot<\/a>, or the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2024\/1\/18\/24043065\/bmw-figure-robotics-humanoid-robot-workers-deployment\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Figure 01 robots<\/a> that BMW is trialing at its South Carolina manufacturing facility.
