Selling Sunset<\/em><\/a> season 7 featured Jason Oppenheim\u2019s<\/strong><\/a> relationship with Marie-Lou Nurk<\/strong><\/a>, but costar Emma Hernan<\/strong><\/a> exclusively tells Life & Style<\/em> that she thinks The Oppenheim Group owner \u201cknew deep down\u201d that it wasn\u2019t meant to last.<\/p>\n \u201cI didn\u2019t think that the relationship was going to last too long, if I\u2019m being honest,\u201d Emma, 32, says. \u201cI didn\u2019t think it was a forever thing, and I think that she realized that as well.\u201d<\/p>\n She continues, \u201cSo, I think when you find your forever partner, you know, and I just don\u2019t think that that was the right person for Jason. And I love Jason to death. He\u2019s like a big brother to me, so I want what\u2019s best for him, but he definitely \u2013 He deserves someone special.\u201d<\/p>\n Even though Marie-Lou won\u2019t be appearing in Selling Sunset<\/em> season 8<\/a>, which drops on Netflix in 2024, Emma still promises the \u201cbest season yet.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re in the middle of filming right now, season \u200b8. It\u2019s definitely been pretty intense, to say the least,\u201d the Los Angeles realtor tells Life & Style<\/em>.<\/p>\n Jason, 46, and Marie-Lou, 25, met while he was vacationing on the Greek isle of Mykonos in July 2022. In June 2022, Jason told ITV This Morning<\/a> he wasn\u2019t planning on \u201cfilming another relationship,\u201d that quickly changed as Marie-Lou was featured heavily in Selling Sunset<\/em> season 7. However, the model quickly began to butt heads with Jason\u2019s ex, Chrishell Stause<\/strong><\/a>. The tension between Chrishell, 42, and Marie-Lou came to a head when Marie-Lou felt Chrishell wasn\u2019t willing to have a friendship with her due to her past relationship with Jason.<\/p>\n Many of Jason\u2019s Selling Sunset<\/em> costars criticized his relationship with the much-younger Marie-Lou, and less than a year after they began dating, they called it quits<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cWhile we still love and care about each other very much, the distance between us has proven to be too great a challenge to overcome,\u201d Jason wrote on his Instagram<\/a> Stories in May 2023. \u201cWe remain close friends and continue to talk often and support each other and we want the very best for one another. We thank everyone for their support throughout our relationship.\u201d<\/p>\n Initially, Marie-Lou spent some of her time in Los Angeles to be near Jason, but acknowledged that they both knew she would have to eventually return to Paris, France.<\/p>\n \u201cThe truth is, we both knew from the beginning that I would have to move back because of my job, friends, and family being here,\u201d she responded to an Instagram<\/a> Q&A mere days before Jason announced their split. \u201cLong distance relationships can be tough, but we\u2019re both committed to making it work.
