\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n We\u2019re in a serious Chicago Fire<\/em><\/strong><\/a> drought right now, and there\u2019s some bad news\u2026the show won\u2019t be back with new episodes until next week!<\/p>\n The NBC series has been in a weeks-long hiatus, and we\u2019re explaining why.<\/p>\n If you\u2019re a fan of the series, you might have noticed a few re-runs since season 12 premiered on January 17, 2024.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n The new season began with four weeks of new episodes followed by a re-run, then two more new episodes, and then more reruns. The last new episode we saw was on February 28, 2024.<\/p>\n Unfortunately, there won\u2019t be another new episode until March 20, 2024. There will be new episodes on March 20, March 27, and April 3, TV Line<\/a> reports. The reason why the schedule is so on-and-off is because of the strikes that happened last year. Both the writers\u2019 and actors\u2019 guilds went on strikes, and filming for season 12 could not even take place until November 2023.
