Before fans see Jax Taylor<\/strong><\/a> and Brittany Cartwright<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s reality TV return on The Valley<\/em>, the couple \u2014 and their potential relationship issues \u2014 were hinted at on Vanderpump Rules<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

During a new episode of Vanderpump Rules<\/em>, Scheana Shay<\/strong> admitted she didn\u2019t expect Jax, 44, and Brittany, 35, to make it work after his season 6 cheating scandal with Faith Stowers<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cLook at Jax and Brittany. They were married and had a baby,\u201d Scheana, 38, noted before Katie Maloney pulled a face. \u201cI could not believe that when they did.\u201d<\/p>\n

Katie, 37, pointed out \u201cthere\u2019s still stories\u201d about Jax \u201crunning around town.\u201d Scheana, 38, said she \u201cheard\u201d the same information, which Lala Kent<\/strong> referred to as \u201cbeyond\u201d surprising.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tWhen viewers were introduced to staff at Lisa Vanderpump\u2018s restaurant during Vanderpump Rules\u2018 2013 premiere, it was clear everyone was intertwined in one another\u2019s love lives. From Stassi Schroeder\u2018s rocky relationship with Jax Taylor, which took a turn when he hooked up with her best friend Kristen Doute, to Peter Madrigal\u2019s casual connections to several [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Bravo viewers previously saw Jax and Brittany weather ups and downs on Vanderpump Rules<\/em>. Jax was on the show since its 2013 debut while Brittany came on as a cast member two years later. The couple documented their rocky road to happily ever after<\/a>, which included having their 2019 nuptials filmed for the show.<\/p>\n

One year later, they announced their departure from <\/a>Vanderpump Rules.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cThe last 8 years on Vanderpump Rules have been some of the most challenging, rewarding and fulfilling years of my life,\u201d the pair wrote in separate statements via Instagram in 2020. \u201cAlthough this is difficult to share, Brittany and I will not be returning for another season of Vanderpump Rules. We are excited to take this time to focus on our growing family and share with you our new endeavors. @bravotv, @evolutionusa and our Vanderpump castmates will always remain close to our hearts. After taking a break from reality TV, Jax and Brittany expanded their family with son Cruz, whom they welcomed in 2021. Their relationship will be documented again on the Vanderpump Rules<\/em> spinoff, The Valley<\/em><\/a>. Shortly before the show\u2019s premiere, Jax and Brittany announced that they are \u201ctaking time apart\u201d from their marriage.<\/a><\/p>\n

Taylor met Cartwright in between seasons 3 and 4 of Vanderpump Rules in the spring of 2015. Fans watched Cartwright move to Los Angeles to be with Taylor during season 4 of the reality series. While she quickly [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cSo many of you guys have been asking me about Jax and I and our relationship. I just think it is important to be real and honest with you guys because we have shared so much of our life with you guys,\u201d Brittany said on a February 29 episode of their \u201cWhen Reality Hits\u201d podcast. \u201cI don\u2019t want it to seem like I am lying or anything like that. So I think it is important for me to say this.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brittany noted at the time that the duo were working through some issues.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith all the speculation online and stories running rampant, I wanted to be transparent with you. Yes, marriages are very hard and I had a particularly rough year,\u201d she continued. \u201cJax and I are taking time apart and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health. I won\u2019t get into too many details right now because this is still really hard to talk about.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bravo has since released the official trailer for The Valley<\/em><\/a> where Brittany revealed that she didn\u2019t think Jax is \u201cattracted\u201d to her and that they \u201cdon\u2019t have sex ever.\u201d Brittany got upset in another scene, which is when Jax told his wife she \u201ccan\u2019t\u201d have any emotion.<\/p>\n

News of the trio\u2019s return to reality TV first broke in June 2023, three years after Kristen was fired from the show and Jax and [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

More scenes showed cast members from The Valley<\/em> speculating about \u201crumors\u201d that Jax was unfaithful. A source, however, previously told Us Weekly<\/em> that cheating is not the reason<\/a> the pair ended up separating.<\/p>\n
