As Kim Zolciak<\/strong><\/a> and Kroy Biermann<\/strong><\/a> continue their custody battle, they are going to be assessed on their parental fitness by an outside party.<\/p>\n

A parent fitness evaluator has been appointed to monitor and interview the estranged couple and their four minor children Kroy \u201cKJ\u201d Jr., 12, and Kash, 11, and twins Kaia and Kane, 10, according to court documents obtained by TMZ<\/a>. The evaluator will conduct home visits to observe the family\u2019s dynamic. The expert may also conduct school visits for the children and consult with additional professionals who have worked with the family.<\/p>\n

The addition of the outside authority is the latest development of Zolciak, 45, and Biermann\u2019s ongoing divorce which began in May 2023. Throughout the pair\u2019s tumultuous split, they have gone back and forth on who will maintain custody of their children<\/a>. (In addition to their four minor children<\/a>, Biermann, 38, is also the adopted father of Brielle, 26, and Ariana, 22, whom Zolciak welcomed in a previous relationship.)<\/p>\n

However, things took a turn for the worse when one of Zolciak and Biermann\u2019s little ones had to intervene in an explosive fight between the twosome. According to a police report obtained by Us Weekly<\/em> in November 2023, one of the kids called 911<\/a> and \u201cadvised his dad was hitting his mom.\u201d<\/p>\n

Us Weekly confirmed at the time that the former NFL player filed for divorce after more than a decade of marriage. The now-estranged couple tied the knot in 2011. The cops arrived at the family\u2019s Georgia home and attempted to speak to Biermann who was \u201cverbally combative.\u201d After explaining the reason for the visit, the officer then spoke to the children who were present.<\/p>\n

During the exchange, one child said, \u201cIt looked like Kroy may have hit [Kim].\u201d When asked to elaborate on the altercation, the child claimed Biermann \u201cput his hand into her face\u201d but insisted he didn\u2019t do it in an \u201caggressive manner.\u201d The others told the officers \u201cmultiple times\u201d that the argument \u201cnever turned physical\u201d and their parents were \u201cjust yelling at each other.\u201d<\/p>\n
