Kung Fu Panda 4<\/b> debuted this weekend at the top of the box office with a big-time $58.3 million. Its the biggest domestic opening of the franchise since the first film back in 2008, earning $17 million more than KFP3 did back in 2016. The film took in another $22 million internationally for a $80 million debut. The film earned an A- Cinemascore, 80% Positive from PostTrak and a 3.0 on Letterboxd. It cost $85 million, a pretty steep drop from the $150 million of the previous three.<\/p>\n
Dune: Part Two<\/b> dropped to 2nd place with $46 million, a great 44% drop from last weekend. After 10 days, its taken in $157 million domestically.<\/p>\n
Imaginary<\/b> debuted in 3rd place with $10 million, which was just about where it was expected to land. The horror film earned a C+ Cinemascore, 57% Positive from PostTrak and a 2.2 on Letterboxd. The film only cost $10 million. Faith-based newbie Cabrini<\/b> debuted in 4th to $7.6 million. It earned an A Cinemascore, 94% Positive on PostTrak and a 3.4 on Letterboxd. Bob Marley: One Love<\/b> rounded out the Top 5 with $4 million.<\/p>\n
On the indie side, Love Lies Bleeding<\/b> debuted in 5 theaters with $167k, a $33k per-theater-average. Problemista<\/b> expanded to 20 theaters and took in $205k, a $10k pta.<\/p>\n
