She was actually in the comedian\u2019s professional life before his personal life, as she joined Jimmy Kimmel Live! in 2003 as an assistant to the executive producer. <\/p>\n
Three years later, McNearney took on a writer\u2019s role\u2026 and was then was promoted to co-head writer in 2008. She has been one of the lead voices on the popular program for well over a decade now.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe executive producer brought me into his office and said, \u2018This is Molly; she\u2019s my new assistant.\u2019 Jimmy barely looked up from his desk until my EP said, \u2018She competes in triathlons,\u2019 and then Jimmy looked up at me and said:<\/p>\n
\u201c\u2018That is really stupid! What a waste of time.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
Sorry, but\u2026 we laughed.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe cooked for me, and that was it,\u201d she told the magazine back then of Kimmel, who has became well known for making his own pizza. \u201cIt sealed the deal.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cHe loves to give gifts, and he loves to feed people,\u201d Molly continued10 years ago.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s really the ultimate host. \u201cI didn\u2019t want to change the dynamic,\u201d she told Glamour. \u201cWe love to make fun of Jimmy over here, myself included.\u201d<\/p>\n
But then Kimmel proposed to McNearney while vacationing in South Africa\u2019s Kruger National Park in 2012 and, well, the secret was out.<\/p>\n
McNearney and Kimmel married in 2013 in Ojai, California in front of very famous guests that included Ben Affleck, Howard Stern, Emily Blunt and John Krasinski.<\/p>\nWill Jimmy really quit his show? They also share a seven-year son named Jack.<\/p>\n
McNearney, meanwhile, has also worked on the broadcast ceremonies for the Academy Awards and Primetime Emmy Awards, both of which her husband has hosted numerous times.<\/p>\n
\u201cI will sometimes dream a joke or think of something in the middle of the night, and then what I do is, because I cannot hold it in, I will wait until she\u2019s stirring and then I\u2019ll tell her what I thought,\u201d Kimmel said on the Smartless podcast in 2020.<\/p>\n
\u201cDeep in my skull, I think to myself, This is her job, so it\u2019s okay for me to do this. That\u2019s how I rationalize it.\u201d<\/p>\n
Kimmel was previously married to Gina Maddy from 1988 to 2003. <\/p>\n
They share two children together: Katie Kimmel (born in 1991) and Kevin Kimmel (born in 1993).<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
