On March 12th, Overwatch 2<\/em> is bringing Cowboy Bebop<\/em> to the game, and you\u2019ll be able to unlock skins for the Bebop<\/em> crew: Spike Spiegel as Cassidy, Faye Valentine as Ashe, Jet Black as Mauga, Ed as Sombra, while the adorable corgi Ein gets a Wreckingball skin. The detail that went into these legendary skins is blowing my mind. Cassidy\u2019s gun is modeled off Spike\u2019s iconic Swordfish ship. Ashe\u2019s Faye skin transforms her robot companion (and ultimate ability) B.O.B. into Faye\u2019s ship, the Redtail. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n In addition to the skins, there will be all kinds of Bebop<\/em>-themed sprays, highlight intros, and emotes. I\u2019m more than positive most of Bebop<\/em>\u2019s most iconic moments will be memorialized \u2014 if there isn\u2019t a Punch and Judy spray I will<\/em> be causing a ruckus \u2014 but I hope the Overwatch<\/em> team added in some deeper cuts including referencing the show\u2019s fantastic movie that came out in 2001.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Best of all, this collaboration will feature music from anime\u2019s legendary<\/em> soundtrack. The idea of possibly booting up Overwatch<\/em> and hearing \u201cThe Real Folk Blues\u201d or \u201cSpokey Dokey\u201d or \u201cRush\u201d is making me seriously emotional. Despite the game remaining firmly lodged in my heart since its launch in 2016, I haven\u2019t played a match of Overwatch 2<\/em> in months for an assorted<\/a> number<\/a> of reasons<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
