She\u2019s a tattooed goddess! Throughout her time in the spotlight, Selena Gomez<\/strong><\/a> has racked up more than 15 tattoos<\/a>. She debuted her first ink design in 2012, and has slowly accumulated them all over her body.<\/p>\n Over the years, the former Disney Channel star has gotten some pretty meaningful tattoos<\/a>. Fans know that she has once that represents her 2017 kidney transplant and another dedicated to suicide prevention, which she got alongside some of the 13 Reasons Why<\/em> cast members. She even got the word \u201cRare\u201d inked on her neck<\/a> to commemorate her 2020 Rare<\/em> album release.<\/p>\n \u201cI just wanted it,\u201d Selena told the Zach Sang Show<\/em><\/a> in January 2020. \u201cI just loved it. I love tattoos, they don\u2019t scare me. I think they\u2019re beautiful and it looks dope.\u201d<\/p>\n Later that same year, Selena also showed off her pretty big leg tattoo<\/a> when showing off the scar from her kidney transplant. \u201cWhen I got my kidney transplant, I remember it being very difficult at first showing my scar. I didn\u2019t want it to be in photos, so I wore things that would cover it up,\u201d she captioned an Instagram post in September 2020. \u201cNow, more than ever, I feel confident in who I am and what I went through \u2026 and I\u2019m proud of that.\u201d<\/p>\n At the time, the actress posed in a blue bathing sui<\/a>t and fans saw the praying hands inked on her left leg. Of course, this isn\u2019t the only tattoo design that represent\u2019s Selena\u2019s beliefs. In April 2021, New York City-based tattoo artist Bang Bang<\/strong> shared a video<\/a> of the songstress\u2019 cross tattoo on her collarbone. Prior to adding this body art to her growing collection, the brunette beauty talked about her faith.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is the most spiritual place I\u2019ve ever been,\u201d she told Vogue<\/em><\/a> in March 2021. \u201cI\u2019m very, very spiritual. I believe in God, but I\u2019m not religious. I\u2019ve been a Christian for a while now. I don\u2019t talk about it too much \u2014 I want to, but it\u2019s gotten a bad rep.
