Chelsea Blackwell<\/strong> <\/a>and Jimmy Presnell<\/strong><\/a> did not get married on Love Is Blind<\/a> <\/i>season 6 \u2014 and they still don\u2019t see eye-to-eye on what went wrong.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was really, really blindsided,\u201d Chelsea, 31, exclusively told Us Weekly<\/i> ahead of the finale. \u201cWe had our ups and our downs \u2014 and our downs were down \u2014 but our ups were so good to this point. A week before that we were over the moon [and] we were so good. We were just right before we walked into that date, we were talking about our wedding songs at the reception.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chelsea noted that it was strange to hear Jimmy, 28, call off their engagement once and for all. \u201cNo one wants to hear that, and I gave my all into it,\u201d she said. \u201cSo that was weird.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jimmy, however, asserts that he really \u201cwanted to get [Chelsea] to the altar.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tSince the premiere of Love Is Blind in 2020, fans have wondered how effective the concept of speed-dating without seeing the other person actually is. Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton, who got married on day 40 of the dating experiment, found their happily ever on the show. However, Lauren later admitted that finding The One [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cWe were fighting really hard to get there<\/a>, and I had really strong feelings about her,\u201d Jimmy claimed to Us <\/i>last month. \u201cWe\u2019re learning more and more about each other [every] single day and the couple days leading up to it, it was more of a fight to give her one extra day, unfortunately.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jimmy attributed his struggles to \u201cfight\u201d to a lack of trust.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe broke my trust in a big way, and that really, really hurt me,\u201d he alleged. \u201cAnd it was all I could think about. And that came from a place of me caring about my friends and not wanting my friends\u2019 details and everything out there. I loved her.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jimmy and Chelsea\u2019s relationship broke down due to third parties. He also had a connection<\/a> with fellow contestant Jessica Vestal<\/strong> in the pods, but completely shut the door<\/a> when he proposed to Chelsea. However, outside of the pods, the flight attendant became insecure over Jimmy\u2019s close female friendships, even asking if he had previously hooked up with one of his pals.<\/p>\n

Jimmy maintains that he would have \u201cabsolutely\u201d married Chelsea had she not asked him about his past on camera.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s tricky because we are in a relationship and in the normal world, of course, the cameras meant nothing to me. I was living my life,\u201d Chelsea told Us<\/i>, responding to Jimmy\u2019s reaction. \u201cI\u2019m trying to decide if I need to make this huge decision, if I\u2019m going to say yes or no, and this is a huge elephant in the room for me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tWhile the premise of Netflix\u2019s Love Is Blind is to help singles find their perfect match, the experiment hasn\u2019t come without drama. During season 2 of the dating show, which premiered in February 2022, multiple love triangles blossomed. In one corner, Shayne Jansen connected with both Natalie Lee and Shaina Hurley, and in another, Jarrette [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

She added, \u201c[We had] this issue in our relationship, but you don\u2019t want me to bring it up to the cameras because you were concerned about how you look to the world? Well, look at me, everything was so real for me and that was a huge issue that I couldn\u2019t see past, and I needed to bring it to light.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chelsea does \u201cregret\u201d the delivery of her words, noting \u201chow [she] did it was not right at all by any means.\u201d She explained, \u201cIt was a real deal in our relationship and it needed to be talked about for us.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jimmy, meanwhile, sees Chelsea\u2019s apology as \u201csincere\u201d \u2014 and wishes their relationship turned out differently.<\/p>\n
