Treat Williams<\/strong><\/a> tragically passed away last summer after being involved in a motorcycle accident.<\/p>\n The late actor had a recurring role on Blue Bloods<\/strong><\/a><\/em> over the years, where he played Lenny, Tom Selleck<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s character Frank\u2019s old partner and longtime friend.<\/p>\n During the latest episode of the CBS series, it was revealed how Treat<\/strong>\u2018s character was written off the show. <\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n In a season 13 episode, Lenny revealed that he was diagnosed with cancer, and on Friday night\u2019s (March 1) episode, it was revealed he had died from the disease.<\/p>\n Frank visits Lenny\u2019s daughter at her work, and the two talk about funreal plans.<\/p>\n \u201cListen, I\u2019m working on my eulogy. If there\u2019s anything in particular you\u2019d like me to say, just call it into Detective Baker,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n She asks, \u201cSo are they gonna shoot off guns or something?\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cNo. No. But he will have an honor guard,\u201d Frank responds. <\/p>\n \u201cBagpipes? He hated bagpipes,\u201d she says. <\/p>\n \u201cYeah, but he loved the old dogs bursting into tears. That\u2019s what bagpipes do,\u201d Frank<\/strong> replies. He then invited her to his family dinner, where he pays tribute to his late friend.<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s also someone who ate here with us over the years but who won\u2019t be back,\u201d Frank shared at the dinner. \u201cLenny Ross was my oldest friend, my closest confidant, my getaway driver. And I lost him this week. And it hurts like hell. But Lenny would hate it if we got all teary and quiet and sad, so Lenny: We\u2019ll miss ya. And save me a seat at your table, and I\u2019ll see ya on down the road.\u201d<\/p>\n The episode ended with a personal tribute for the actor.<\/p>\n \u201cIn memory of our great friend, Treat Williams 1951-2023,\u201d it read, along with a photo of Treat <\/strong>and Tom<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Treat<\/strong> died in June 2023<\/a> after he was involved in a motorcycle accident. It was later confirmed <\/a>that he died from \u201csevere trauma and blood loss as a result of the crash,\u201d and a man was charged with grossly negligent operation with death.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
