Still BFFs? Bethenny Frankel<\/strong><\/a> opened up about her friendship with Andy Cohen<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 and revealed the pair are still on good terms despite the Bravo boss claiming she \u201ctrashed\u201d the Real Housewives<\/em><\/a> franchise.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWe totally are pals and we take beach walks and most of what we talk about on those walks is the Housewives<\/em>, of this city, that city, this person, that person,\u201d Frankel, 52, said during the Tuesday, November 29, episode of Today With Hoda & Jenna<\/em>. \u201cI texted him when [my podcast came out] and he said, \u2018Oh, fun. I\u2019m glad to see you embrace the Housewives<\/em>.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Earlier this month, Frankel announced she was launching a Housewives<\/em> rewatch podcast, titled \u201cRewives<\/a>,\u201d so that she could return to the franchise \u201con my terms.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cFor those of you who don\u2019t understand why I did it, because I get that I walked away, I didn\u2019t want to be a part of it, it wasn\u2019t what I thought I should be doing at [that point in] my life, and I wasn\u2019t proud of it,\u201d the Naturally Thin<\/em> author wrote via her Instagram Story on November 13.<\/span><\/p>\n She continued: \u201cThis is my perspective, my story, my show, my experience, versus a situation where we didn\u2019t control the editing, and we didn\u2019t control the process, and we didn\u2019t control who we surrounded ourselves with and the trips we went on, we weren\u2019t in charge.<\/span><\/p>\n The Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohe<\/em>n host, 54, then responded to the news by telling Page Six<\/em><\/a> he was \u201cshocked\u201d to hear about the podcast after Frankel previously dubbed the franchise a \u201ctoxic\u201d environment.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n On Tuesday, the Skinnygirl founder confirmed that Cohen\u2019s initial reaction to her new venture was \u201cdefinitely\u201d because she had previously shared that she was \u201cglad\u201d to longer be featured on the reality series.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWhich I am. But they\u2019re not mutually exclusive,\u201d the chef said. \u201cI\u2019m glad I\u2019m not there, but I do get the right to talk about it. I did it for a quarter of my life.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n While the New York native denied that she \u201ctrashed the Housewives<\/em>,\u201d she did admit to saying it became \u201ctoxic for me,\u201d and that the Bravo series had changed from what it \u201cwas in the beginning\u201d due to increased \u201cconflict.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n When speaking exclusively to Us Weekly<\/em> earlier this month about the Real Housewives of New York City<\/em> <\/a>spinoff, RHONY: Legacy<\/em>, Cohen revealed that Frankel isn\u2019t \u201cfriends with any of the women anymore\u201d and would likely not be appearing on the show any time soon.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThe great thing that I\u2019ve loved about the legacy women is through the years they actually do hang out when the cameras aren\u2019t rolling. They are really in touch,\u201d he told Us<\/em>. \u201cThey overlap in each other\u2019s lives. Bethenny now lives in Connecticut and she\u2019s just kind of living her best life in her own universe<\/a>. So, I\u2019m not sure given how she feels about the show at this point, that it even makes any sense [for her to return].\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Despite their differing viewpoints, Frankel told cohosts Hoda Kotb<\/strong><\/a> and Jenna Bush Hager<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0that she and Cohen are able to separate business from their friendship.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWe are both also in this business and we are also friends and we also share Housewives<\/em> stuff where he was producing the show that I was on,\u201d she said. \u201cSo there\u2019s all these different dynamics where I guess they overlap.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
