Sydney Sweeney<\/a> took to the <\/span>Saturday Night Live<\/em><\/a> stage over the weekend <\/span>for her debut hosting gig,<\/a> and she used her monologue to address the “craziest rumor” she’s ever heard about herself online.<\/span><\/p>\n The <\/span>Euphoria<\/em><\/a> star was all smiles as she delivered a fun monologue that made fun of herself and proved she knows how to poke fun at some of her own projects.<\/span><\/p>\n “I am so happy to be here!\u00a0My name is Sydney Sweeney. You might have seen me in <\/span>Anyone\u00a0But You<\/span><\/em> or <\/span>Euphoria<\/span><\/em>. You definitely did not see me in\u00a0<\/span>Madame Web<\/span><\/em>,” she quipped. “Tonight, I’m excited for\u00a0everyone to get to know the real\u00a0me.\u00a0I feel like people only see me\u00a0as the girl on TV who screams,\u00a0cries, and has sex — sometimes it’s all three at the\u00a0same time.\u00a0But I’m more than that.”<\/span><\/p>\n After explaining the “five-point plan to break into acting” when she was younger — as well as her back-up plan, which consisted of simply “show boobs,” she decided to use the stage to address some random speculation that has swirled online about her.<\/span><\/p>\n “The craziest rumor I’ve is that while I was filming Anyone But You, I was having an affair with my co-star, <\/span>Glen Powell<\/a>,” Sweeney said, addressing the high-profile speculation that erupted while the pair were filming the romcom.<\/span><\/p>\n “That’s obviously not true,”\u00a0Sweeny stressed.\u00a0“Me and my fianc\u00e9 [Jonathan Davino] produced the movie together, and he was there the entire shoot.”<\/span><\/p>\n “And I just want to let everyone\u00a0know that he’s the man of my\u00a0dreams, and we’re still together\u00a0and stronger than ever.\u00a0He even came here tonight to\u00a0support me.\u00a0Can we cut to him?” Sweeney said, before the cameras cut to Powell himself sitting in the audience, and smiling awkwardly.<\/span><\/p>\n “That’s not my fianc\u00e9!” Sweeney yelled while laughing. “He’s in my dressing room! But we’ve got a great show for you tonight!”<\/span><\/p>\n Amid filming the project all over Australia, rumors began swirling about a romance between the co-stars, which was later compounded after Powell’s model-designer girlfriend, Gigi Paris,\u00a0<\/span>called it quits<\/a>\u00a0after three years of dating amid Powell and Sweeney’s press tour for the film in mid-2023.<\/span><\/p>\n Powell and Sweeney have since addressed the rumors in separate interviews. Sweeney told\u00a0<\/span>Variety<\/em><\/a>\u00a0she “<\/span>felt\u00a0beat up by<\/a>” the rumors, especially when she wasn’t able to stand up for herself. Similarly, Powell told\u00a0<\/span>Men’s Health<\/span><\/em>\u00a0that the rumors were “<\/span>disorienting and unfair.<\/a>“<\/span><\/p>\n
