Vanderpump Rules<\/em><\/a> alums Jax Taylor<\/strong><\/a> and Brittany Cartwright<\/strong><\/a> announced their separation during an episode of their podcast \u201cWhen Reality Hits\u201d on Thursday, February 29, but it didn\u2019t last long. A few hours later, Jax announced that Brittany had returned to their shared home.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re together. We\u2019re living in our home right now,\u201d Jax 44, revealed to Page Six<\/em><\/a> on Thursday, February 29. \u201cShe was in a house for a while, but yeah, she\u2019s back now.\u201d<\/p>\n The publication reported that the Jax\u00a0wasn\u2019t wearing his wedding ring when he spoke to them and the pair was spotted at their separate residences the same day. However, the reality TV star said that their breakup was \u201call fresh and new\u201d and they were taking time to \u201cfigure it out.\u201d He also insisted that their split was \u201cnot divorce.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s not evil or nastiness,\u201d Jax continued. \u201cIt\u2019s just two people that you now are hitting a 10-year mark in their marriage<\/a>. We\u2019re just spending some time apart and just trying to re-assess, you know, our situation. We have a child involved and we just wanna do what\u2019s best for our kid.\u201d<\/p>\n Around 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 29, news broke of Jax and Brittany\u2019s decision to separate<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cMany of you guys have been asking me about Jax and I and our relationship. Yes, marriages in general are very hard and I\u2019ve had a particularly rough year this past year. Jax and I are taking time apart and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health.\u201d<\/p>\n The Kentucky native added that their current focus was doing what was best for their 2-year-old son, Cruz<\/a>, and that the decision to separate was still \u201cvery hard to talk about.\u201d<\/p>\n News of their split came just a week after Brittany sparked concern about their marriage when she addressed the rumors swirling about her and Jax\u2019s marriage.
