Seventeen years after Sex and the City<\/em>\u2019s conclusion, And Just Like That<\/em> premiered on Max in December 2021. Parker, Nixon, and Davis, 58, all reprised their roles while Cattrall, 67, has only appeared in one episode to date.<\/p>\nCattrall\u2019s cameo<\/a> came during the season 2 finale in August 2023 when Samantha \u2014 who lives in London in the reboot \u2014 called Carrie to say she wouldn\u2019t be able to make it to her \u201cLast Supper\u201d dinner party due to a delayed flight.<\/p>\nDuring the premiere episode of AJLT<\/em>, Samantha\u2019s absence was chalked up to a falling-out between her and Carrie.<\/p>\n\u201cWell, what is there to say? I told her that, you know, because of what the book business is now, it just didn\u2019t make sense for me to keep her on as a publicist,\u201d Carrie explained. \u201cShe said, \u2018Fine,\u2019 and then fired me as a friend.
