Millie Bobby Brown<\/strong><\/a> is spilling all the details on Jake Bongiovi<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s proposal!<\/p>\n The 20-year-old Stranger Things<\/em> star and the 21-year-old son of Jon Bon Jovi<\/strong><\/a> got engaged<\/a> in April 2023. <\/p>\n During her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon<\/em> on Thursday (February 29), Millie<\/strong> told the story of how Jake<\/strong> asked her to marry him.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n The Enola Holmes<\/em> actress revealed that the proposal happened under water!<\/p>\n Millie<\/strong> shared that she and Jake<\/strong> love diving and that they were on vacation together. One day, Jake told her that they had an 8 a.m. dive the next day.<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s telling me, \u2018We\u2019re going to the same spot we usually go to,\u2019\u201d Millie<\/strong> recalled. \u201cI\u2019m like, \u2018It\u2019s boring, let\u2019s go somewhere new.\u2019 He\u2019s like, \u2018No, we have to go to this spot.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n She then described what happened once they were \u201cmany meters down.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cHe gives me like a shell, and I like, turn it over, and it\u2019s a ring,\u201d Millie<\/strong> shared.<\/p>\n She explained that she gave an \u201cOK\u201d hand signal to accept Jake<\/strong>\u2018s proposal.<\/p>\n \u201cI think it was underwhelming, but we freaked out.\u201d Millie<\/strong> added.<\/p>\n The Damsel<\/em> star also revealed that she almost lost the ring after Jake<\/strong> put it on her finger!<\/p>\n She said that the ring slipped off and \u201c(plummeted), like, so fast it was like a cinematic movie.\u201d<\/p>\n Thankfully, Millie<\/strong>\u2018s fianc\u00e9 was up to the task.<\/p>\n \u201cJake threw himself, like so deep, like the diver was like, \u2018You can\u2019t do that, like, your ears \u2026 literally your brain will explode,\u2019\u201d she remembered. \u201cHe does a cinematic, like, grab, opens (his hand) and he saved the ring!\u201d<\/p>\n As it turns out, the ring Jake<\/strong> offered to Millie<\/strong> under the waves was merely a placeholder. When they got back on the boat, Jake<\/strong> gave her the real ring, which once belonged to her mother.<\/p>\n \u201cHe was like, \u2018This is your mom\u2019s ring and I got it from your parents,\u2019\u201d Millie<\/strong> said. \u201cAnd it was very magical and his parents were there and we just looked so disheveled coming out from a dive.\u201d<\/p>\n
