This is on top of the <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2022\/11\/09\/meta-confirms-11000-layoffs-amounting-to-13-of-its-workforce\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">11,000 jobs that were cut in November<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Redfin<\/h3>\n<p>Announced April 13th that it has <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2023\/04\/13\/redfin-is-laying-off-more-workers-as-housing-downturn-persists\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">laid off 201 employees, about 4% of its workforce<\/a>. This is the third time in less than a year that the company has laid off workers.<\/p>\n<h3>Sprinklr<\/h3>\n<p>Announced on February 15 that it will <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2023\/02\/15\/sprinklr-layoffs-2023\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">impact 4% of its global workforce \u2014 or more than 100 employees<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>iRobot<\/h3>\n<p>Announced on February 13 that it will <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2023\/02\/13\/irobot-layoffs-7percent-of-workforce-at-roomba-maker-let-go.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">lay off 7% of its workforce, roughly 85 employees<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Twilio<\/h3>\n<p id=\"speakable-summary\">Announced on February 13 that it will <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2023\/02\/13\/twilio-cuts-17-of-its-workforce-just-months-after-previous-round-of-layoffs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">impact around 17% of its global workforce, about 1,400 people<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>GitHub<\/h3>\n<p>Announced February 9, <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2023\/02\/09\/github-lays-off-10-and-goes-fully-remote\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">10% of its staff will be impacted<\/a> through the end of the company\u2019s fiscal year. Before this announcement, which was <a href=\"https:\/\/fortune.com\/2023\/02\/09\/github-is-laying-off-10-of-staff-and-cutting-down-office-space\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">first reported by Fortune<\/a>, GitHub had about 3,000 employees.<\/p>\n<h3>Yahoo<\/h3>\n<p id=\"speakable-summary\">Announced on February 9, <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2023\/02\/09\/yahoo-will-lay-off-20-of-staff-or-1600-people\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">20% of its staff, impacting 1,600 employees<\/a> in its adtech business. Yahoo is the parent company to TechCrunch.<\/p>\n<h3>GitLab<\/h3>\n<p>Announced February 9 that it\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2023\/02\/09\/gitlab-to-reduce-workforce-by-7\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reducing its headcount by 7%<\/a>. The round of redundancies will impact around 114 people, though that specific figure is dependent on its actual headcount as of February 9.<\/p>\n<h3>Affirm<\/h3>\n<p>Announced on February 8 that it is <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2023\/02\/08\/affirms-stock-plunges-as-it-misses-earnings-cuts-500-jobs-and-shutters-crypto-unit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reducing its staff by 19%, or about 500 employees<\/a>, and shutting down its crypto unit.<\/p>\n<h3>Zoom<\/h3>\n<p>Announced the <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2023\/02\/07\/zoom-layoffs-impact-15-of-staff\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cut of 15% of its staff, or 1,300 people<\/a> on February 7.<\/p>\n<h3>VinFast<\/h3>\n<p id=\"speakable-summary\">VinFast has not shared how many employees have been cut, but a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/feed\/update\/urn:li:activity:7028464130151878656\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">LinkedIn post<\/a> from a former employee said <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2023\/02\/06\/ev-maker-vinfast-downsizes-in-us-canada\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cnearly 35 roles\u201d were affected<\/a>. Amounting to around 20% of the headcount.<\/p>\n<h3>Greenlight<\/h3>\n<p>The fintech startup offering debit cards to kids <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2023\/01\/12\/greenlight-fintech-layoff\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">laid off 104 employees on January 12, or over 21% of its total headcount<\/a> of 485 employees.<\/p>\n<h3>Career Karma<\/h3>\n<p>Learning navigation platform Career Karma laid off <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2022\/07\/28\/career-karma-conducts-layoffs-as-tech-jobs-face-a-massive-stress-test\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">another<\/a> 22 people on <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2023\/01\/12\/career-karma-conducts-another-round-of-layoffs-extends-runway-to-five-years\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">January 12 across its global and domestic workforce<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>DirectTV<\/h3>\n<p>Announced on January 12 <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2023\/01\/12\/directv-layoffs-2023\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">plans to lay off about 10% of its management staff<\/a> on January 20.<\/p>\n<h3>Informatica<\/h3>\n<p>Reported on January 11 that it will <a href=\"https:\/\/www.infoworld.com\/article\/3685290\/informatica-to-lay-off-7-of-its-workforce-to-cut-costs.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">lay off 7% of it\u2019s workforce, or 450 staffers<\/a> globally.<\/p>\n<h3>Carta<\/h3>\n<p>Announced on January 11, the equity management platform <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2023\/01\/11\/carta-lays-off-10-as-cto-lawsuit-looms\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cut 10% of its staff.<\/a> Judging by LinkedIn data, the layoff could have impacted around 200 employees.<\/p>\n<h3>Citizen<\/h3>\n<p>Impacting <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2023\/01\/12\/crime-reporting-app-citizen-lays-off-33-employees\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">33 staff members on January 11<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Coinbase<\/h3>\n<p id=\"speakable-summary\">To <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2023\/01\/10\/coinbase-to-cut-20-jobs-and-abandon-several-projects\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cut 950 jobs, or about 20% of its workforce<\/a>, and shut down \u201cseveral\u201d projects, announced on January 10. This is the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2022\/06\/14\/coinbase-ceo-says-it-is-laying-off-18-of-its-workers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">second round of major layoffs at the crypto exchange<\/a>, which eliminated 18% of its workforce, or nearly 1,100 jobs last June.<\/p>\n<h3>SuperRare<\/h3>\n<p>The NFT marketplace is <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2023\/01\/06\/nft-marketplace-superrare-cuts-30-of-staff\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cutting 30% of its staff, announced on January 6<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"amazonjan\">Amazon<\/h3>\n<p>Announced on January 5, <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2023\/01\/05\/amazon-to-cut-18000-jobs-as-tech-layoffs-continue\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">eliminating more than 18,000 roles<\/a>. This announcement extends a <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2022\/11\/16\/amazon-begins-layoffs-as-economic-woes-mount\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">previously announced<\/a> round of layoffs in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aboutamazon.com\/news\/company-news\/a-note-from-ceo-andy-jassy-about-role-eliminations\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">November of 2022<\/a>.
